Default Jim and Meat on stage one last time?

Just watching the Rockaplast original Bat tour.

What are the odds of a grand finale? May be not a gruelling tour but a final swansong on stage one last time?

I remember a Wembley show and Meat telling the crowd Jim was in the auditorium. The lights dimmed and the spotlight beamed on his silver hair.
Jeepers, he was about 4 rows in front of me!!

Oh, for one last time, please.

Does this album heighten the possibility?

I can see them being on stage together.

In regards to actually performing though...

the BAT musical has been Jim's dream for the last ten years or so. Hasn't done anything to support it that anyone is aware of. I can't count the odd facebook rambling as factual.
For whatever reasons and those would be Jim's alone. he is more or less out of the picture on most things that are related to him.
He clearly has some faith in what Meat is doing hence the songs but as far as anymore involvement prior during or after, well this isn't 1993 and I think Jim is not what he used to be

With regards to the musical and Jim, you are way off. Trust me: it's happening very VERY soon.

I didn't say it wasn't happening. I'm just questioning how much involvement Jim is having with the musical.
Could be a little or could be a lot. But since Meat is one of the driving forces behind BATs success along with Jim, I have to wonder how they will pull it off if they don't have Jim front and centre and especially if Meat is not involved

Jim has been dicking about with this musical for 40 years. I suspect the less involved he is, the more chance it will come to fruition.

Jim is directly involved with the musical, most hours of what is almost every single day.

That would be great news. Anything to back that up? Don't get me wrong as I really hope that is the way it is

Hmm ... It's an awkward position because there are things I can't say at the minute on a public forum. Source is Jim himself, directly, though.

Interesting.
Again I really hope its true but some sort of official release would go a lot further than just a post on a message board with the usual I can't say more as I was told this in confidence
absolutely no offense to you but I'm sure you can understand as well

No worries - understand completely! I can't even say 'PM' me because if I do, everyone will, and then things'll start springing up on every message board and I'll have betrayed the trust of a very good friend. So just take it for what it is, and bear in mind that I've never claimed to know any of Meat Loaf's plans, etc. or mentioned anything in the past that didn't hold true.

Again, I'm not going to be posting much lately, for a variety of reasons (not related to anyone on this board).

So I'll leave you with this: it's going to be VERY different to the standard 'Wicked, We Will Rock You, Rock of Ages' type of musical you see coming out every other year these days! Appreciate it if you keep this to this forum only (I'll know!!)

Doode.

P.S. Regarding any kind of 'official' information: trust me, you'll know about it when the time's right!

then why mention it at all?

Im just confused.

It just makes us curious, and some of us may message Jim via Facebook and overcrowd his inbox.

Im gonna take it as them performing together is in the cards, but not a definite. Im sure its been discussed by both Jim and Meat. They know they are magic together on stage. They don't need us discussing whether they will or not, they aren't stupid. they know the fans wanna see it.

Its all just if Jimmy is able and it works for the show.

That's a shame Chris, I'd really hoped that people wouldn't do that - Jim's got a lot to deal with right now without being bombarded with messages. And you're right, I probably shouldn't have mentioned anything at all - I just thought I was doing you guys a favour in the short term (and giving you something positive to speculate over rather than the usual 'he's done, he's not involved, we never get told anything. etc). Needless to say, I've learned my lesson - no more news!

So much more to it than that I'm afraid.

In regards Doode's posts, there are people here "in the know" on various topics, quite often from the most reliable sources available... Sometimes it's maybe best to accept the post for what it is and not question it

I'm not saying that I disbelieve what you're saying and I hope you don't take this the wrong way but plans regarding this musical seem to have changed from time to time and it's for that reason that I'd rather believe it's happening when it is officially announced, they've found a theatre for it and tickets are on sale.

That's cool Jenna As I said above, I only posted to give people of this community something positive to speculate about - if you can't take it for what it is, then all further news is off the table! I can't get drawn into arguments over this (and I say this with the best intentions in the world! ish!!).

That's fair enough and I'm certainly not planning on getting drawn into an argument over it either.

I'm sure there's lots of people who have read what you have posted and are simply delighted to hear anything which shows that this musical is still being worked on and the idea hasn't been abandoned. The songs are definitely worthy of a musical being built around them and I sincerely hope that it will happen.

In case there was confusion, i wasn't referring to myself when i said "some of us would message Jim on Facebook" aha. i meant some people on here may.

For the record I believe Doode 100%.

If Bat The Musical is trying to not be We Will Rock You, I am disappointed. I, for one, absolutely loved WWRY when I saw it in Vegas. Distance from something wonderful and fun is definitely NOT a selling point to everyone.

Disagree entirely here. While We Will Rock You is i am sure a very entertaining music show, like Mamma Mia, it is not really a "musical". Just a flimsy contrivance to string together a greatest hits package. If the Bat musical is striving to be more than this, i for one am very happy!
