Not to do with anything on this thread ... wait... maybe ... yes... that Youtube clip ... that drop the mic thing has become tedious and boring and I was shocked and horrified, quite frankly, when my President did it ...

You do realize your one word was done in a way that seemed as though you think you have some authority though. Maybe they don't teach about McCarthyism any more or the witch hunts. The key word is "suggestion". I said it would be a lot of work. I'm done on this subject.

It won't have the immediacy of fast interaction but it would save a lot of grief.

It would also make it easier for everyone to find his posts about the shows, the songs and the latest word on things.

I'm not trying to volunteer anyone for a "job" but just a suggestion.
To put an end to this and as a reminder to stay on topic:
Yes, we could set up a moderation queue for posts in a certain areas. IIRC this was discussed before, check the feedback forum. In my opinion it's way too much effort to monitor the queue and it will eventually kill any conversation. Now you might get a slap on the wrist on posting something deemed inappropriate, a moderation queue will shut everyone up until we think a post is worth going public. Despite my struggling to translate my german thinking to english, I hope you see the difference. Head over to the feedback area if you want to discuss this any further.

Default Very Sorry !!
I have been upset all day !! I came here not expecting what I ran into !!

I had a person accusing of passing out and faking it to sell tickets . People everywhere telling me I am Lip lip syncing the whole show !! because they heard the Double vocal in the background after I passed out , it's a double vocal that is on the record from 94 ' the band had stopped , the BG's weren't singing , so all you heard was the double . I didn't wake up till I was at the Hospital . I was faking it wrote one woman . I wanted to leave the Hospital but they would not let me . I had people wanting a refund when I was about 9 or 10 mins from the end of the show . They had heard Bat,Paradise,Took the words , 2 outa 3,
Revved up, Frying pan, Break it , the opening and other songs . I had been on for almost an hour and 40 mins. Right now I am not well !! I am going to try and do the show on Tues . Had another guy write that I do this passing out all the time just to make money and never give refunds . Lets take that night in Newcastle. Yes I had to stop , but I came back and charged 5 pounds a ticket to only cover the cost of the building !! Also gave everyone a free CD . So yes I am upset !! MY wife and Frances have yelled at me !! I am sorry . It goes back to my 1st Broadway show "Hair" and the song "How can People be so Heartless" Again sorry !! I feel very bad for coming here an attacking !!
LOve YA,
M

Meat, I was there on THAT night in Newcastle...I was also there when you came back. I am often told that I don't show enough emotion about things but when you walked on stage, even before a single note, the reaction of the audience brought a lump to my throat.

People will say what they want about refunds/no refunds/faking/not faking... but all those people under one roof, on their feet and applauding before you've done anything has to be the only truth you need to know that we all have your back.

I was at that show and it was 25 pounds not 5 but that's beside the point as 25 pounds was about half price in 2010 and it was clear there was no profit margin involved and my free cd was given to a long tome friend and fellow fan who was going through tough times as I already had the storybook version. The truly remarkable thing about that show was that it was probably the best vocal performance I'd heard live since about 1994. It was arguably the best meat loaf show id ever been to including the RAH bat 3 uk debut which was a lot more expensive especially when flights and accommodation come into it. That 2010 newcastle show was an absolute privilege to have witnessed.

After the vocal cyst had healed and Meat had gone through the vocal coaching afterwards, he promised us he was singing better and more strongly than he had for years .. and he was right. He came back on top form in Casa de Carne, and the shows in Hang Cool were brilliant as you say. I enjoyed them all, and Newcastle was a special night, when he returned there for the first time since he had to leave the stage there in 2007.

He didn't mention here either that he went back to Newcastle to do that penalty shoot-out to raise money for two charities in Newcastle. Such a big heart, such a wish to show he was sorry for something quite beyond his control.
