Worthwhike keeping an eye on the seller .. also checking the boards there, because sometimes you can alert others, (because if the transaction's cancelled you can't leave appropriaye feedback) or find evidence of a pattern. I know the one seller who sent me an item that didn't work, and insisted on my completing a form he refused to make available, was the subject of much discussion. He was sending out non-working items much of the time, all fairly low value so not covered by eBay's insurance. Mostly he was buyng up pallets of stuff on eBay, (probably returned catalogue goods) not checking or repairing them, and selling them as new. There became such a groundswell of antipathy that eBay chucked him off. He returned under another name, we complained and he was chucked off again. Finally to get back he had to satisfy them he had dealt with complaints, and we all received refunds out of the blue.

Yeah but you can't get everything on Amazon, I admit though they seem to have caught up a bit with the marketplace thing.
