The Bat Trilogy is like a persons life. Bat I is for me about youth and growing up. The music is light and joyful. Lyrics about problems you encounter when your young. Bat II is about being mature. The tone of the music is just darker. Lyrics about the pains in life. Bat III is about getting old. The hunger is there but the lyrics are more darker and about the little future you got. The last grunt before the end. And it ends beautiful in peace with Cry to Heaven. So I count the trilogy as one. And it's my favorite.

I've always looked at the Bat Trilogy as 3 different movies which follow on from each other. But with the way you have put it I couldn't disagree more with myself and more with you. I read this post yesterday then went and listened to all 3 Bats and your take on them fits in quite nicely.

Frying Pan, I love that line "wander down the ancinet hallway..." I get all fuzzy when I hear that song, stunning does not even begin to describe it.
