Eva, I am all afluster (is that a word?) over your two pics earlier- I love pictues of Meat in glasses, and the picture with the shirt unbuttoned has made thing very steamy at my little computer desk! Every Meat movie I hope for a shirtless scene, and I am never rewarded with one- your pic may be as close as we are gonna get!

Bigmomma, I love your idea of a support group for husbands! I know my hubby would be a charter member, no doubt!

Thanks to MB, I think that I can now successfully post a few pics for you ladies. Here's my first attempt, let's all cross our fingers:

I love this pic! I've been looking all over ebay for a copy of the Everything That Rises video, one of these days I'll get one and get to watch a whole movie of Meat dresses like that! (Could I survive?) :P

Woooo! Success! Here's my second offering of a Meat pic, I think this one is very classic and elegant:

Sherrie (ready to go look for more Meaty pics!)

Thanks for the info Mercury Blues. I saw it there, but I've spent far too much in the last 6 months on assorted Meat Loaf items and my credit card balance (and my husband!) are getting a bit....uncomfortable. So, I'm trying to go on the cheap and buy things on Ebay now. (Particularly since I sell fairly often on Ebay and I have a Paypal balance- it doesn't seem like "real" money when it comes off that) Ah, denial.... I think if I don't find Everything That Rises and Rustin on ebay soon I may have to go the amazon route.

Sherrie

Edit: OK, I lasted a good 10 minutes after I posted this....then I ordered it on Half.com for a scant $6.50 with shipping included! I shall be seeing Cowboy Meat soon!

WoW!!!! What amazing photos, you guys!! What a joy to come here and find them all today!!

Holy water, Vicki?!! I think we're more than hot here!! We're SMOKIN'!!!!

Especially loved the one with the teddy bear, Caryl!! Did everyone notice the resemblance??!! He IS a teddy bear, isn't he?!!

Hope you got to enjoy the concert, Tink. Since this has turned into a photo thread, I thought I'd remind everyone that there are some captured photos online from that show here, if you have not yet seen them.

Well, with all these great photos, you really made me dig through the collection here to see what I could find for y'all today. Hope you enjoy these:

I couldn't find one with both the Goff sisters yet, but here is a shot with one of them:

And here is one with Meat and the entire Neverland Express from the Pam Moore days:

I think that this was one up at your site for a while, Eva! I just love the look on both their faces:

And lastly, here he is singing his little heart out--just the way we like it!!

Enjoy!

Have a great day!! More later...

Love to all,
MB

YES, MB this picture was on my site in the last spring.
I found it in a german paper after the "Radio Regenbogen Award"
It was titled:
"Bei ihrem Bühnenspektakel brannte die Luft: Meat Loaf und Ehefrau Patricia Russow sangen "I Would Do Anything For Love"
translation:
On their stage show the air was burning.
Meat Loaf and his wife Patricia Russow performed IWDAFL

It was very funny!
Isn't that?

Love
Eva

Eva--"AND HIS WIFE"??? Did they mean STAGE wife or did they honestly think Meat and Patti are married??

That's hilarious! Thanks for sharing that!!

Still love the picture, though!!

Yes MB .. there's something about Meat that does remind me of a big ole bear :) .. I think it's the warmth and open-facedness, his fondness for giving people big old bear hugs .. and sometimes when he's walking away, head down, from the back he so reminds me of Winnie ther Pooh as he trudges off .. Oh .. and I mean the genuine article, as illustrated by Shepherd .. not the potbellied Disney Pooh :) The original is a broad shouldered bear, troubled by a propensity for gaining weight, but not as round!

I think this is funny too, especially since my son is completely sure that Patti is his wife and will not be convinced any differently! What's odder about the newspaper caption is that I am fairly sure that I remember from other photos of this event that Meat's fiancee Deborah attended this event with him. I could be confusing it with another event, but I seem to remember that dress that Patti had on.

Sherrie,

I'm not sure that Deborah was on this event. Deborah was not to be on pictures that I have seen. Only MEAT and Patti.
A few days after this award thing I meet MEAT and Patti backstage by the german TOTP - without Deborah!

Love
Eva

The...picture...with...the....red...open...shirt....I....er...um...

*CLUNK*
-sound of little_dancer passing out

I have this pic from the cover of Pizazz magazine from 1978 (from ebay), my doctor has recommended that I stop looking at it- it causes heart palpitations, and a racing pulse.

come to think of it, I don't think this thread is very good for the old 'ticker...everytime I look at the new photos, I get dizzy.

Thanks ladies!
