Default One for the girls!!!!!

I have had an obsession about meat for years! yes i love his music but i fancy the pants off him too. But what i dont understand is why!!!! what does he have that many others dont. i cant figure out why i am so obssessed by this man. when i first set eyes on him years ago on t.v doing a tribute to someone (cant remember who) i just fell in love, but not instantly with the music. does anyone else feel like this . . . or is it just me!

You got it, Dottie---BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Gamergirl--welcome to the forum! Great to have you here with us! Sounds like you're going to fit in really well!!

I'd say that probably a LOT of us feel that way about Meat!! That's why we're here so much of the time!! He just sort of takes over one's heart, doesn't he!!!!

One minute he's just an accessory; the next minute, he's the major part of the wardrobe!

Yep! I understand what you're saying!!

Take care and have fun here!!

Love,
MB

Hi Gamergirl, and welcome to MLUKFC. I was thinking about this very question (why do I find Meat so darn attractive) as I was going for a walk on my lunch break yesterday. I think Dottie and MB did hit it right on the head, it's charisma, sheer force of personality. Meat aptly fits a quote by my favorite (and none too tall) writer Harlan Ellison: "I may measure 5 ft 3 inches tall, but I'm 10 feet tall when I stand on my f**king charisma". Same story with Meat- his personality boosts the heck out of his appeal, to the point that (as my husbands aften says) "Jeez, you'd think he's Brad Pitt!". (Or maybe I just love big guys- hubby is 6 ft 1, 265 pounds.)

(WHAT??RUSTIN- SHORTS??!!!- Little_dancer passes out briefly)

...Yay big guys (my bf is 5'11 310lbs)

warning: giggly, sleepover crush entry: the opinions expressed in the following make the author slightly embarassed as it exposes the silly, obsessive, giggly, teenager-with-braces that still exists within her.

Here's my thoughts on the matter,

I have always found Meat Loaf to be VERY attractive. I am only 23 years old, and when I look at old photos from BOOH1, I wish time travel were possible. lol

Joking aside, he has always had enough talent and charisma to blow all those tight leather panted, 150 pound pop stars off the bl##dy stage, but I'd like to be shallow for a minute. The man has the BLUEST eyes I've ever seen in my life, a smile that could melt steel, facial features that are out of greek mythology and an idescribable sexiness (from the early days right up to present day) that is frankly 'knee weakening' -and I gots me some strong cruciate ligaments!!!

I know that Meat Loaf was a big man in the 1970's, and I think it's a testament to women that he was a sex symbol anyways. It's funny to think of all these media people standing around scratching their heads thinking "I don't get it, isn't sexiness a quatifiable commodity? Why are women so nuts about this guy? The media hasn't given them persmission to find him hot!! We get to decide who is hot, don't we?" The fact of the matter is, the media people HONESTLY believe they KNOW what woman WANT- HA!

The first time I ever saw Meat Loaf was when I was 12, and I saw a clip of the promo for two out of three aint bad- honestly, it was the first time in my life that I understood what 'sexy' meant. I was blown away. It wasn't untill later, in my teens, that I ever had to 'justify' why I had pictures of Meat Loaf in my locker, instead of The Backstreet Boys, or Beverly Hills 90210.

Society can throw as many blonde, skinny, muscled, short haired lookalikes on the Television and magazines and I will always think 'boring'. Meat Loaf is simply, gorgeous, - always has been, always will be- what is it about him--- EVERYTHING-Head to toe, inside and out.

now i'm blusing
poor Meat, he must hate the crush stuff, eh? I wonder.

I think I'm gonna go hide while everyone wonders if i'm a little 'nutso'- oh well, just look at those old videos of girls seeing The Beatles for the first time- they weren't crazy, were they? Just overwhelmed. Having a crush on a celebrity (who could never reject you) is perfectly normal, and fun. It's just a fantasty- one that I'm a little sheepish about sharing...

ps- I really hope Meat Loaf doesn't read THIS one...

PPS- don't tell my boyfriend about this post, okay?

well im glad to hear there are people out there that are as like minded as i am. my boy-f is 6f6 and 210 pounds. i have always gone for the big guys. could be big guy big personality. i dont know, what i do know is that Meat will be forever with me, in my thoughts in my dreams and in my heart. no matter what song, no matter where when i hear his voice i totally give myself to him (if that makes sense).

i saw him in cardiff last year and i was near the front and i could swear he was staring at me (couldnt miss me with a see though white top and a sexy lilac bra ) and i will never forget that day for as long as i live. i dont think ill ever see him in concert again, as i couldnt get tickets to him this time and hell probably never come back .

cant wait to see rustin thought (him wearing shorts grrrrrrr)

Yes Meat has charisma, huge talent and an incredible stage presence .. and his looks improve with each passing year :) But what swings it for me is that he is utterly unpretentious, eschews celebrity "status", is grounded, has an intelligent mind and ready wit, is transparently honest about his perceived shortcomings, and cares about and pursues becoming a better person. And he';s a big "bear-hugger". Those qualities to me are beyond rubies

Right you are, Caryl!! There is a heck of lot more to this guy than mere sex appeal!! And all these things combine to make him utterly irresistible!!

I've gotta stop thinking about all this! I've been drooling most of the day. My family's going to think I've got something more than the flu!!

(They should only know... )

Love to all,

Meat in short!!!!!!!! I'll have to rent it. Forget that, I'll buy it. I don't think I can ever recall seeing him in shorts.

For me, I get weak in the knees with his eyes and devlish smile. Don't forget that he sure can wear clothes. What ever he is wearing either jeans, baseball uniform, or a tux he looks sexy.

Why do men age better then woman? Meat sure does!!

His personality also is appealing. He is such an incredible giving/caring person. I thank him for he for being who he is. He has helped me a lot, especially this year. Without going into a long story, it was Meat who snapped me out of depression a few months ago. Since then I've been living life on on a "Meat Loaf High".
