Exclamation Still interested in an iPhone?

I lost my interest some time ago, but this is the cherry on top!

Looks like the only solution is to remove the battery ... oh wait, you can't.

These people don't deserve to have ANY phone...much less this one...

ANY wireless outside of the country incurres all kinds of charges...should have checked it out...duh...people don't read the agreements...well, maybe they should...that's why they are there...

In any event...Apple just announced that it's coming with brand new IMPROVED model which is much cheaper than the cheapest one from before...in other words...whoever bought the most expensive version is SO screwed...

It's not the agreement, it's the iPhone periodically updating it's data (email and such), even if it's turned off! Obviously you cannot turn the damn thing off completely.

It says in the article that it's mentioned in the agreement...

I can't figure out how it works when it's turned off...theoretically, your e-mail should sit on the server until you open your e-mail software...if it's true...then it must be glitch though in the hardware or something...NOBODY will pay for this stuff...

Forwarded this to an expert - let's see if there is any better explanation...this article obviously was written by a layman...

Just re-read the article again:

The person called his lawyer to complain about inability to unlock his phone...hmmm...welcome to the US providers.

Phones that come with the plan (can't tell about other phones - just don't know) in general can't be unlocked to use with another service outside of the US...that's why you get this phone for this price from this provider...another duh...

OK...I am still shaking my head at this but apparently it's possible...

Although it's not know for sure but there is a possibility that this phone just never shuts down...when you shut it down it goes into some screen saver mode and then only way to shut down the damn thing is to pop the battery...geez...good thing that I want my phone to be just a phone and nothing else...

I worked for At&t wireless, then Cingular, then the New At&t for 4 years so I've seen this before. Everything is in the terms and conditions but if you don't read them over with a fine tooth comb, you will miss it. Normally if it's something that isn't the company's fault, they will only offer 1/2 of the credit, but if it's pushed up the ladder to the office of the president, you may get the whole credit but there are no guarantees. They only give the full credit if it's the company's fault. Not saying it's right but that's how they work.
