This is interesting............

Madness’s long awaited new single strays away from their typical ska sound into the more traditional pop song.

The intro, a dramatic piano riff with a string accompaniment, is bizarrely reminiscent of a Meat Loaf epic. The Meat Loaf comparisons, however, stop after the intro and the song settles into a more familar form. For a long awaited single, the chorus is maybe a little disappointing, and it’s hard to tell whether this song is a happy or a sad tune. Overall though, it’s worth listening to and you may even grow fond of it over time.

I went to see them last night in Cardiff and it was great. They played the new song, but at no point did it in any way remind me of Meat Loaf. Still though, it's not a bad song.
