Life Is A Lemon (live)
Last night I had some company over and we all got to drinking. There's always music or a movie in the background while we all shout amongst ourselves. I chose to put on In Search Of Paradise for a while. Kasim Sulton at sixteen playing for Meat, amazed him enough.
So I had to put on Life Is A Lemon, the one from Bat2 picture show! My love for this song grew when the 5 of us were simply awestruck at Meat's performance! Has anyone noticed how scary Meat's eyes are through that entire performance. Woww! |

it is indeed one of the most enegetic and powerful performances of the Loaf that's been captured on film. Another version that comes close for me is the one from the Prince's Trust performance in 94. He REALLY rocks the stage with that one!

i think it's the best live performance of life is a lemon that he's done. Great energy.
The prince's trust show was ok but his voice was gone, from what i remember, it was only a couple of days after the first show i saw. |

I agree it is one of the finest performances. Only bad thing is its really badly edited and the intro cuts in. I think that performance would've been better for Live Around the World then ITN's version

I think that the version from 3 bats live is one of the best.

I don't. It's far too short, the second verse is missing and Meat's voice isn't at it's best. My favourite version of Lemon is from the VBO tour with the tribal drumming at the start and still having a guitar bit at the end.

I wish Meat Loaf would do the guitar battle in this song again.

Me too. In fact I think it would be a good song to play before an intermission. That way Meat can walk off and leave the guitars wailing away for a couple of minutes.
