Default New post count & Freds World

Any chance of switching off what happens in 'Fred's World' popping up in the 'New Posts' count? I thought there was 56 new posts to read today and it ended up the majority being some nonsensical gibberish between a bot and Steve6

go to the forum index and double click the button that says 'mark forum as read' next to Fred's World...at least until next time they wont show up again.

Yes, that's possible.
But, as this is a site wide option, I'd like to see more opinions.

I won't use Fred's world anymore. I just used it because no one else was.

If you don't, someone else is sure to at some point. Fred can be quite entertaining at times

It's almost been two days. It looks like Fred's post count is gone.

Fred is a sort of Robot, and Fred's World is a part of the forum where you can talk with Fred.

He can be quite fun and entertaining but a bit frustrating at times!

I can't post a link, but if you click on "Community" (in the bar near the top of the screen) and scroll right down to the bottom, "Fred's World" is at the bottom in the "Life" section.

After you click on that, the Stickied thread, "Welcome to my world..." gives a bit of an explanation of what he is, and there's usually some thread going - it's currently "Hi Fred" started by Steve6.
