It's not Jim, it's Scaramouche frmo Rockman, who now and them writes songs for the never-happened-batman musical. Go over there for more info on the song.
I think it's just awesome! |

The piano riff at 1:36 makes it sound like he's going to start singing "Little lady, I know there's something on your mind........."
Not a bad song |

I was gonna post a link to the song here a few days ago but I wasn't sure there was much point.
I think the song is pure magical. It contains pretty much everything I'd expect from a new Steinman song; clever lyrics, gorgeous melodies and an insane range of dynamics. It's fab. |

I still listen to this song occasionally and have just found it in a downloadable version with better sound quality than in the YouTube video. There are those who made the song that have made it available for download.
Go to this page: http://www.4shared.com/get/OZ0ev3n1/...yardshift.html You have to wait 60 seconds before you are able to download it (if you dont have a Premium account at 4shared.com). The file is 13,5 MB and 192 kbps. There are more information about the song on these pages: http://www.freewebs.com/batman_themusical/home.htm http://www.freewebs.com/batman_themusical/tributes.htm |

I'm disappointed. I came into this thread on a sudden burst of insane hope that Steinman had somehow put out a couple of amazing new songs together, ones that we'd all fall in love with. Oh well, this works too
I love the way he even tries to get the feel of a true Steinman song with the use of lines like 'Well the Future just ain't what it used to be', 'Looks like it's gonna be a dark one tonight,' the Pandora's Box line, the entire title, ect. Awesome song, |

Good lord, this song is as close as your going to get isn't it.
Really really really good. The only thing I didn't like is some of the lyrics were trying a little too hard to be steinman that it sounded more like a tribute to Jim rather than it's own song. Other than that... Absolutely superb. |
