Default Fireball: why no John Miceli?

I was just wonder why John wasn't on any of the track from CHSIB?
I don't have the album with me now, but think there's quite a few session musicians there, aren't there?

Sinecure.

John is on the album! On "Because of You" and "Forever Young".

If you analyze the credits, you can see a core of musicians who seem to be on most of the tracks -- you could say they did the 'basic tracks':

Meat Loaf: Lead Vocals
Michael Thompson: Guitars
Kasim Sulton: Bass
Tom Brislin: Piano, Hammond B3
Peter Mokran: Synthesizers, Programming, Guitars
Kenny Aronoff: Drums

then there are some additional musicians for over-dubs, additional little thingies, or maybe just 'better suited' for the track:

Tim Pierce: Guitars on "Couldn't Have Said It Better"
Aaron Zigman: Piano on "Couldn't Have Said It Better" and "Forever Young"
Mark Alexander: Hammond B3 on "Couldn't Have Said It Better", Piano on "Because of You"
John Miceli: Drums on "Because of You" and "Forever Young"
Luis Conte: Percussion on "Why Isn't That Enough?"
Daniel Higgins: Penny Whistle on "Intermezzo"
Stephen Erdody: Cello on "Forever Young"

And then you have the additional vocal squad:

Patti Russo: Female Lead Vocals on "Couldn't Have Said It Better"
Pearl Aday: Female Lead Vocals on "Man of Steel"
Tanja Reichert: Spoken Intro to "Man of Steel"
Giselda Vatcky: Spoken Breakdown in "Tear Me Down"
Backing vocals: Kasim Sulton, Eric Troyer, James Michael, Todd Rundgren, Maxi Anderson, Rose Stone, Alexandra Brown, Lynn Davis, Pearl Aday and Patti Russo

But this is just how I see it. Altough I must say it sure makes sense to me :-)

Sorry, I don't have a copy of the album here - the thought just poped into my head.

Ok then, just two tracks? How come?

Stephen.

Default ????

I've always wondered why John only has a minor role when it comes to studio albums.

His name is also in the credits for Crazy About A Mercury.

Kenny Arnoff has always been one of my favorite drummers, I was glad to see him on so many of the tracks on CHSIB. I first discovered him when he played with John Mellencamp, and I've followed his work ever since. (Though I do love "the Hammer", too.)
