For sake of adding to this thread.....it could be silk, but silk doesn't usually hold up to water (i.e. sweat) real well. The material may be more of a shiny satin or sateen. Either way, the shirt has rhinestone buttons and the "cake decoration" like scroll work in the neck/wrist areas. The material would have to be firm enough to take the embellishments. Good pic though.

Yes, it's a considerably heavier weave/weight than silk too. And I'd have thought Meat selects/commissions his clothes for stage performances

I saw one identical to that at a vintage clothes shop here in Holland. Nearly bought it but it was a size or two too big.
I don't know why I thought that was worth posting. :P |

Yes the fabric is satin as this is the type of weave for the fabric. It's the fibre content that is debateable. Silk can take almost any type of decoration as it can be re-inforced with interfacing (Vilene). Cotton would help with the sweat issue! Fibres can be blended together to make the most of their 'properties'.
