Default The Rare Songs: 44. Somebody Loves Me

Rare Songs: Sombody Loves Me

"Somebody Loves Me" appeared on the tribute CD "The Glory Of Gershwin" in 1994. It's a typical calm swing ballad and Meat's voice sounds great here. It was composed by George Gershwin. And somehow, this song suits Meat. :) A great song, because I love that kind of music. And it shows Meat’s talent to sing different music styles very well. He should do more songs like this.

9/10

I am sure this is a very good performance by Meat but sadly it is not one of my favourite type of songs. The chorus swings along quite nicely though and I'll give it 7/10

I like it. Gershwin wrote very good songs. Gershwin's style was a way of the classic musical like Bernstein. But I don't like Bernstein. Gershwin better. This song is very good just Meat's voice isn't the best. Anybody could tell me which musical's part is it?

My score: 8

I like this song think it suits Meats voice even though it is very different fom anything else he has sung....grows on you the more you hear it.

Bernstein is one of Steinman's favorites.

I would love to see Meat perform a Broadway or West End musical. But sadly I dont think his voice could take it anymore. But this style of song suits him down to the ground.

Wash your fingers in soap and water!! .. have you HEARD him recently? I'd understand a musical being too much of a tie .. 6 nights plus matinees are hard to fit round a filming career .. but suggest .. his VOICE ISN'T UP TO IT???? .. pleeeeeeease ...... his voice is in marvellous shape imo .. better than his bum right now by all accounts .. and compared to many who front musicals .. it's superb!!

Somebody Loves Me. It is some what quiet, and a song I wouldn't get normally into. But the way Meat sings it, it just well, gets to me. In a good way. I personally like songs like Bat Out Of Hell, For Crying Out Loud, Anything For Love, Rock N Roll Mercenaries, Heaven Can Wait. But I have to say this song, is well great!, not good, not bad, not excellent. But great. If anyone else sang it, I probably wouldn't like it.
Somebody Loves Me, I wonder who, can she be?

Great song, I would give it an 8.5+
