Default Motorcycle Guitar

Hey Meat Heads!!!

I've received so many emails in regards to how I do the motorcycle gtr. It got me thinking, hmmmmmmmmmm, why don't I record it and put it on my intro page??! Go to: www.metalloaf.com

Being that I have more time here than on stage with MEAT LOAF I decided to give it a kick start with a longer idle time. The gear shifting is created with the whammy bar. I change strings for each gear. The skid sounds are created by scratching the pick against the strings. The crash is created by holding the whammy bar down so that the strings flap across the fret board.

Hope you like it.

Hey - A wonderful piece of guitar work there - sounds like a bike revvin and then crashing to the ground -

Thanks Paul! I had always wondered just how the cycle sounds were made- it's more complicated than it seems!

Is it me or is that the coolest sound you can make with a guitar?

Great job!

Sounds good Metal Loaf!

Is it the same way Todd Rundgren did it on the LP?
