The article should have added, to make sure you establish the normal body language of the person you are attempting to read. If the body language displayed is a habit of the person, you may interpret it to mean something else. For example, a man with a goatee may rub his goatee, with his hand, out of habit. We may misinterpret this as meaning he's unconsciously trying to cover his mouth to prevent the lie from coming out. It's very hard to say one single body movement means someone is lying. The body language must be in clusters and timely to a topic. I would suggest Dr. Paul Ekman's books, "Telling Lies" and "Emotions Revealed". Also, "Practical Aspects of Interview and Interrogation" by David Zulawski and Douglas Wicklander. If you study and research body language, you can learn a lot from people. About 90% of communication is non-verbal, so body language will always reveal the real message.
