Me too, their music defined a period of my life during the 90's. I remember being on holiday with my sixth form buds in 1999 and all of us laid out in a field looking up at the stars, the future so filled with promise as we listened to Night Swimming.

Gives me chills to think about it now. *sigh*

The Dutch word 'rem' translates to 'brake'. 'Break' would be 'breken'. But since the band was called R.E.M., it's a moot point anyway.
