Question Best Opening Song?

BOOH and AFL are not on this poll cause they'd kill it between the two of them.

For me, I always thought Rubber was the perfect start to a Meat record.

It makes you think its a ballad ... THEN BAMMMM

The 1978 UK version of stoney and meat loaf had a different opening track, an extended version of Jimmy Bell, but that's not in the poll. Not that it would win lol

Was a toss up between Couldn't Have Said It Better, Home By Now and Peace on Earth. But Peace on Earth won

Of that list Peel Out wins my vote.

Have maintained for decades now that it would make an awesome concert opener!

The music to Peel Out is great, but the lyrics are a bit poor. Not one of Steinman's best.

On a pedantic note why does every other song get their title written out in full, but CHSIB does not? I blame Wario.

True. But, it doesn't have to be a 100% perfectly crafted piece of art to be enjoyable does it? If you constantly seek perfection then you'll miss out on a lot of gems.

I can't vote because you didn't include Hot Patooite.

Not the right idea. its record openers.

Hot patootie would win in a landslide anyway.

Only because it's the most recent. My answer to that question would be BOOH from the early 80's with the looooooong drawn out intro, closely followed by AFL.
