Default R.I.P. Gary Speed

I just can't can't believe that Gary Speed has passed away. A Premiership and Wales legend, and he was doing well as Wales manager. Feel so sad for his Wife and kids. He played football the proper way and he was getting Wales to do the same. Can't believe it at 42.

Appears to be suicide. Sad that he felt that was his only option. RIP.

I'd feel more remorse if he hadn't died by his own hand. From what I've heard he was very Talented and his loss is quite sad, but in the end he was stupid as all hell. Death is never a solution to a problem, as it may end your pain in will cause hundreds more.

RIP.

Remorse? I assume you mean sympathy.

I would suggest that, out of respect, until such time that the reason for his death becomes apparent you reign in your opinions, there are many reasons why someone would take their own life and in some of those reasons there is no choice.

I highly doubt wario meant it offensively. In general yes suicide is a stupid option as it will hurt all those around you.

However I have no idea what happened and it is very sad to see someone go so young. RIP

It is confirmed that he was found hanged in his home. I just cannot get my head around it. He had everything, a great family, everyone said he was a family man, Michael Owen saw him drop his kids to school 2 days ago, always had a smile on his face, was doing well as Wales manager, Robbie Savage said they were having a laugh and a good chat yesterday, just doesn't make any sense.

The police said that it wasn't suspicious but there's got to be more to this? Can a person really be suicidal and hide it from everyone by putting a smile on their face? Surely someone must have noticed something?

Some murders have been staged to look like suicide in the past.

Can we leave the speculation and the discussion around the whys and wherefores to another time please.

Right now is a time for some respect!

With respect to you everyone in the world is asking the same question right now, just why? Doesn't mean we are not showing respect for his passing as he was a great family man and great footballer. He had everything, so we have to ask why because it's so tragic. Everyone is baffled and asking this.

R.I.P Gary, cant believe the guy is gone. I read he was at Old Trafford like myself on Saturday afternoon, watching his old club Newcastle, enjoying the game along with 75000+ football fans. So tragic, my prayers are with his family

It's sad. I never heard of him until now. I'm not sure I would brand his death as "tragic" as all the news outlets seem to be saying. I agree the situation may be tragic but a tragic death is something different in my opinion. (death by accident for example).
