Default Picture Discs

3 of my picture discs ie:-

Dead Ringer/More than you deserve -Single

Modern Girl/Take a Number - 12"

Bat out of Hell - LP Vinyl

have departed from their original sleeves - were the original sleeves as picture disc or different? If you can help me with this I would be grateful! I should know the answer to this but I don't

Deadringer/More Than You Deserve 7" was only issued in a clear plastic sleeve.

Modern Girl/Take A Number 12" was issued independantly in a clear plastic sleeve or as part of a limited edition 2-disc set (picture disc & standard black vinyl) in a gatefold picture sleeve.

I have seen 3 different editions of The Bat Out Of Hell picture LP. There may be others, I don't know, but I've never come across any. If anyone knows of other picture disc versions of the Bat album (on vinyl) I'd be very interested to hear about them. The UK release came in a clear plastic sleeve. In N. America it was released in a die-cut picture sleeve which was red and decorated with black bats. There is also a rarer N. Amercan release which comes in a die-cut plain black sleeve with a double red line around the perimeter.

Hope this helps Dottie.

Hi Diane,

Thank you for getting back to me

Dead Ringer/More than you deserve - Single 7" - have clear plastic sleeve

Modern Girl/Take a Number - 12" - have clear plastic sleeve - the standard black vinyl, gatefold picture sleeve - interesting will check out .

Bat out of Hell - Vinyl LP - have clear plastic sleeve again - would presume that this is the UK one - Epic - EPC 11-82419

So it would seem I'm ok then - feel such an idiot - All of my many vinyl picture discs were bought many eons ago from record fairs etc.,

Thanks Diane for your help again
