Possibly the most random thing to ever appear in General Messages
Hmmmm, what are the options for this one? A. Leave it in General Messages (depending if Meat has ever had one, and weather his dining experience was a positive one). B. Move it to Tour Talk (assuming there is a branch in Vegas). C. Add a poll and put it in site feedback. D. Send it to the Test forum (if they are sending us some free samples ). E. Send it to The Shopping Mall (if they're sending us some we have to pay for ). F. Send to Events (if we're having a forum party there). G. Send it to Other Rock & Roll Heroes (If Bruce Springsteen has any opinion on the subject). H. Send it to Off Topic. H it is then |

No reason you should .. it's a chain of Asian themed restaurants owned by a company based in Arizona, operating in the US. Canada, S America etc (There is one listed in Manchester, but whether it's part of that group or riding the name I don't know)
Lettuce wraps are savoury, tasty (gluten free! ) .. savoury mince wrapped in a crisp lettuce leaf .. chicken, pork, beef .. here you're likely to find them with shredded duck as well. PF Changs has a GF menu and is recommended in the USA for GF dining. Lettuce wraps are a fairly safe bet here for GI people, as not all Chinese pancakes are GF Why the excitement here on the UKF? Meat referred to eating and loving them in Vegas He also likes English breakfast tea |

Surprised you don't like Chinese food, Jenna...with my digestive problems I find Chinese really filling but very light, it's not heavy or stodgy at all.

When my uncle got married they had their reception in this Chinese restaurant and I remember having this thing with bean sprouts in it that I really didn't like at all. |

I think it's about selecting things you might like .. you'd probably like these wraps if they were on the menu .. steamed sea bass is wonderful! Broth soups too. A lot of the food doesn't have much in the way of spices .. and has no heat from them, more fragrance. They use cornflour as a thickener which is GF. The USA has a bigger GF lobby than here, and Asian food is one of those often recommended by GF groups. And as Lucy says, it can be very light. I remember spending years saying "No olives for me thanks" and removing them from any dish served with them. Then one day I tried an olive again .. it was marvellous, and I wondered when my palate might have started to appreciate them .. and how many I'd missed out on!! |
