Default The emotional side

When I listened to one of my favorite songs, (when I just found this muzu.tv channel), I became an emotional soft egg (is that good English?)

This is imo sσσσσσ freaking awesome!! Haven't heard it for a while.
The variaty of instruments of the orchestra and the magnificant chemistry between Patti and Meat, the diamont couple... The vocals...

http://www.muzu.tv/search/?mySearch=...Said+It+Better

I wonder... Have there been songs that made you cry? And if so, which one(s)?
So, for the guys, which cool dude dares to admit?

I've got a short list of Meats songs that make me cry. Objects in the rear view mirror, it just won't quit, where angels sing, did you ever love somebody and another day. These songs are very personnel for me and helped me through some very hard times in my life.

Hang Cool Teddy Bear reduces me to tears every time.

I also occasionally get something in my eye when listening to For Crying Out Loud.

Ummm... huge credibility drop time here... but then I've never been cool :)

Coward of the County by Kenny Rogers always has me choking up. I sing along and get so into the character. It's just beautiful and awful.

For me it would be Avenged Sevenfold's - So Far Away, I think about my grandma every time I hear that song. I also cry every time I hear Dolly Parton's - Coat of Many Colors and Alabama's - Christmas Shoes.

As far as what Meat songs do I connect to on an emotional level would be, FCOL, Left in the Dark, Did I say That, Cry Over Me, Objects, Blind as a Bat, All of Me, Giving Tree.

Okay I think I am going to stop typing now, the list is long enough...lol.

Definitely "Did I Say That" - it relates to my past . (Thanks God now is almost everything ok. ) This song is on first position in my private ranking of Meat's songs.

I also cry (from time to time) when I hear:
- Another Day
- Heaven Can Wait
- Where Angels Sing
- It's All Coming Back To Me Now

Harry Chapin's "Tangled Up Puppet" is guaranteed to make me cry; "Perhaps Love" by John Denver does it often as well. "Time to Say Goodbye" and "The Prayer" by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli make me teary because they are sung so beautifully. Other songs can choke me up depending on my mood- Bruce's "My City of Ruins" and "You're Missing" have been known to have that effect; many of Harry's songs fall in that category as well.

Meat/Jim songs that get to me are "Left in the Dark", "Read 'Em and Weep", and sometimes "Cry Over Me".

Sometimes, it's a song that just hits me a certain way at a certain time, and that's unpredictable.

For me ML songs- FCOL - Left in The Dark - Cry to Heaven - Heaven Can Wait. Where Angels Sing - are the emotional ones. I am sure there are a few more but these are some that have really touched the emotional side during the hardest times we all tend to go through in life.

I have shared a couple of the songs to comfort friends at times of their need.

I have been a blubbering fool at times but that is ok! LOL

For me there are at least 1 or 2 songs on every Meat album that make me cry. Like LucyK, RnR Dreams brings me to tears every time I hear it live. Bat 3 is the album that makes me cry the most. Almost 1/2 the songs bring me to tears because i can relate to the sentiment & emotion expressed in the lyrics. Love that album - it's my 3rd fave Meat album. Yeah, I do know how Meat feels about that album.

Two out of Three makes me cry but that's more due to associated memories I can't listen to the song anymore; unless it's live or on a DVD

I never thought that Heaven Can Wait would be one but every time it comes on I remember crying my eyes out like a silly fangirl in Nottingham. At the time that was the last Meat Loaf concert I was going to and I guess Meat's emotion at the start of the song fuelled mine and that was it.

I would say For Crying Out Loud, Heaven Can Wait, IJWQ, RNRD, Where Angels Sing and, bizarrely, Because of You.

Because of You was going to be our first dance at my wedding this September, but I was overruled in the end. Never mind, it made my better half cry when I played it to her!
