The Videos: 17. I'd Do Anything For Love
Videos: I'd Do Anything For Love
Yes! What should I say to that video? I don't think, that anybody's here, who's never seen it. If I'm wrong, let me know. This is the second best video Meat has ever did! But I think it is more than a music promo video. Hollywood movie is a better name for it. It's the first out of five videos of this kind. You can say, that video is the very best screen adaption of "The Beauty And The Beast". I've never seen a video which is so dramatical. There are nearly no better drams at cinema. The story and the style of the song and the video is typical Steinman. Only promo videos like that one do justice to Jim. "I'd Do Anything For Love" is also one of the most famous music videos ever. And I cannot imagine, if there's somebody in the whole wide world, who doesn't like it. The more I watch those great videos by Meat, the most I dislike his current vids. And I don't understand, why the new videos aren't like the past ones. 10/10 |

I love that video as well 11/10
I understand what you are saying about the new videos but I have to disagree with you. I really like Meat's new videos. It's hard to do a theatrical video to songs that are not put together like operas. Steinman writes wonderful songs but I love Meat's songs since then too. They have a different style but they are still excellent in my books Maria |

Oh yes! One of the best (if it isn't the best) video in the world. My fav part is when the girl is sitting on the field. That's a dreamworld - an angelic scene!
Did you know what happened with me in the past? Some years ago I did my best of Meat Loaf CD. And I was drawing the cover in the Paint where a man on the bike is riding out of the hell. There was flames, fire-circle... and an amulett. When I did this CD I didn't see the video of Anything For Love. And I've drawn that amulett what is appearing in the video when Meat lose that. Sometimes we know the way of God and fate! My score: 10 P.s.: I think It's All Coming Back To Me Now's video by Céline Dion is a copy of this... |

I can't seem to find the video anywhere. So as I got impatient, i decided to just download the video, till i find an actual copy of it. and that is an awesome video, i hit search button, and 130 results came up in like 5 hits of the button SEARCH. i couldn't believe it, a lot of people like it. the only thing that bugs me. is these people also share their meat loaf songs. so people can have them for free it really angers me, of these programs. i wish they would go, so meat can get all the attention he deserves, by buying the album. but if you go on kazaa. you will see some of the songs from couldn't have said it better. that i put as phony files. it will play 5 seconds of the song, and then 5 minutes of silence in the middle. and last 2 seconds. so the people who spend 5 hours getting a song, turn out to get the wrong one hehe. sorry guys, but i feel thats what we should do, so people don't buy meat's albums. but its already to late, for his older ones, so many people has a lot of bat tracks. CHSIB, i am going to be first person in my place to get it. :) probably to late, but Fun to think that way.

I think Meat doesn't ride a bike since he crashed during the shooting of Modern Girl's video and he broke his arm or leg...

Everybody says the video of Anything For Love is the story of The Beauty And The Beast. I think it's not true. This story's from Dracula. You see in this film (1992) Keanu Reeves who is lying on the bed and the girls are crawling between his legs.
I know that the "beast" is becoming man but in Dracula at the end of the film Vlad Tepes reaches his desire: honour death! Well, I say the video of I'd Do Anything For Love is from Dracula!!! |

Besides ME being the ONLY Burns on this website (change your pic, Mr Bison !) I think the video is positively a masterpiece. No, it's not the best version of Beauty and the Beast. Faerie Tale Theatre did an amazing adaptation with Klaus Kinski (the second Nosferatu) and Susan Sarandon. It was so haunting it brought tears to my eyes. Also another is: "La Belle au La Bete". I'm also writing a gothic opera based on Beauty and the Beast, called "DOn Claude Devious". The beast should be played by Meat Loaf, or Jim Steinman, because he has their characteristics. I love the video. I have it on BAT II-Picture Show, and have seen it (at least) 8 times on television in the last year. What are the CHSIB videos like? I saw an excerpt from the title-track song, and a pic (from DIST) where Meat Loaf is leaning over a girl, as if he were screaming at her. I think LOVE YOU OUT LOUD would make a great video.
