Introducing Darlene Love
I've really been enjoying Darlene's new album, which was produced by Steve Van Zandt and features songs written by Steve, Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, and others. One song, "Who Under Heaven", written by Jimmy Webb (whose other credits include "McArthur Park", "Wichita Lineman" and other iconic songs), is a huge, gorgeous production- sounds a bit Steinman-y to me. I don't know if anyone is making records like this anymore:
I also really like the Desmond Child/Joan Jett- penned "Little Liar". |

You sold me on the CD and it is excellent. Love the "wall of sound" style stuff. Thanks for posting this.
