Not sure if anybody knew but Meat is starting UK TV and radio promotional campaign this coming Monday. He's live on BBC1 at 7pm.

Apologies if everyone already knew!

Will be good to see. Though I find meat seems to miss out on some really good shows these days. I.e. Graham Norton, Alan Carr, Celebrity Juice.
Would love to see him on something where he can let loose a bit, as I find the one show and loose women to be a bit 'yawn'.

Before someone jumps in to defend the choices, I get that it's due to viewing figures...but still....I think meat works better in more fun and freeing situations, as opposed to well controlled pre watershed ones.

Meat's said many times .. they pitch them all, and he takes those that offer and that fit the time frame and can be worked together in a short promo schedule. It's not like he can ask us what shows we'd like to see him on and instruct them to accommodate him It's not about choices .. it's promo; he does as much as he can, and I enjoy all he does, even when it means watching a show I'd normally consider pushing pins through my eyes a better alternative Those minutes he's on screen makes it worthwhile

Wonder what his 'food heaven' and 'food hell' are. I'd be so tempted to say my 'hell' is something I really like, just in case 😂

How about "bat surprise" or "bat soup".

You're all so reasonable.

Yes Meat was on Graham Norton...over 10 years ago now!

Well i do recall him asking in the past...

Just as a 30 year old guy who likes Meat well enough to want to see him succeed I never think the audience demographics from the like of loose women, one show etc are the ones I'd go for if I were his PR team. But I guess that why I don't do PR. Despite the fact that I'd be ace!

Daytime TV does little for me. 7/10 people are in work/school or on their way between. Hence why evening/night time appearances I feel are best.

Yes you've said Caryl that the shows are pitched...as unfortunately this time around theres no big chat shows on currently. The current format of Graham Norton would work for Meat I feel.

Or even shows like QI or Would i Lie to you. Meat likes improv, I'm sure he could go on that and spin and good yarn. and he'd have fun.

TV is a dead format now and production companies look more to on demand and youtube views. Show's like loose women aren't just daytime tv programmes anyone, they are watched by a large demographic throughout the week. Chat shows like Graham Norton just don't get the views that something like Parkinson used to get.

the highest publicity on TV Meat could get now is to be on a celebrity dating show or to get talked about on goggle box. That's just the reality of 2016, unfortunately.

Well put.

Give it 10 years and the licence fee will no longer exist in its present form.
I think also this was the BBC's last mass holiday abroad for the Olympics paid by all UK TV owners and quite rightly so.

It sadly is dying. But You can certainly get attention through it...I doubt anyone has forgotten the 'bus incident' from the chisib promo tour. I think he should do it again on Friday. Oxford street needs better sound than the pneumatic drills and car horns.

September 8 at 7pm, photographer Martin Hausler is to launch an exhibition featuring his work at London's Sanctum Soho hotel, which will include photos of Meat. Meat is quoted as saying " This man is one of the greatest photographers of all time. If you miss it, you are wrong." Might he make an appearance on the opening night after the signing?

Want to try and get this album heaps of attention? Make "Who needs the young?" go viral. Just my 2 cents.

100% with you on that one. Younger people I know seem to like it a lot.

Dress it up with a cool music video with the backing singers, costumes and theatrics, put clips up on instagram, etc

Make it quirky and authentic Meat Loaf and I think people will dig it

Now is not the time and here is not the place to bring up age old arguments about the previous fan campaign attempts, from either side.

So, please don't bother going any further down that road. Lets not detract from a new album that is being released imminently and all the promo that that will bring with it. I'd hate for you to kiss some of the discussion and excitement here by being on an enforced short break...

The One Show is celebrating its tenth anniversary tonight. What better present for the presenters than to present to the audience a present day rock n roll hero, presently.

I don't think I would want to be the one to tell meat he got the name of the song wrong. But nethertheless this was an okay interview. The one show easily draws over 4m so fantastic exposure for the album and he had a good amount of time to talk about it. I think it's fair to say he was tired but promo is relentless. We only see the moments when the cameras roll and the mics are live but it'd a whole lot of waiting and repeating. It's exhausting and is why many artist try and put it off.

I hope he gets some relief from the nerve in his back. Back pain can be tortuous, but it was great to see him back on these shores again. :)

I love love love Meat Loaf. But I found it hard to watch the interview and listen to him on the radio today. He got a little bit better as the One show interview went on but he looked too tired to be there in my opinion.

I think he should go home and be with his family and take some time off working. I understand there are thousands of commitments, demands from him etc and people want him to do this and that either for their personal gratification or financial gain but seriously there are more important things in life than another show and another tour.

The album is a gift from the gods and I always got more from Meat Loaf than I ever think I deserved (for me it was very easy to see multiple shows on UK tours and I got to meet him and speak to him on quite a few occasions). In return I've been a right asshole at times on here and other places on the net and for that I am very sorry but Meat was almost always the next person on my mind straight after my small circle of family/girlfriend & friends and my pet.

You're braver than we are Meat but you have nothing to prove I think.

Take care Meat. Please look after yourself. Much love.
