Default Interesting Item up for Auction

Interesting item up on ebay right now -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Meatloaf-S...-/331532130800

A little expensive, but the listing shows some pictures and a nice inscription!

Seems a bit sad to be making a profit from such a personal item unless the money goes to charity. It's not just an autograph on an album or guitar. It's a handwritten note in a yearbook, so not much to do with Meat's music.
Bit creepy to me personally but I guess everything has its value in a supply and demand world.

I always find it odd when people buy signed items written to someone else. Unless it was written by a King or something who has been long passed on and is kind of a history piece.

Having Meat's initials writing to someone about the other person playing sports doesn't seem all that big a deal. You could buy an autographed LP or CD of BTWA much easier. $899 is ridiculous for it IMO.

That's the point- an item like this is much more rare, and therefore worth more to a collector. I wouldn't want such an item, either, but I can see where a collector might.
