Default Meat Loaf on Much More Music

Hi all!
Just a quick note for those of you who do not get Much More Music in your neck of the woods (or for those who missed last nights Bio on Meat Loaf)-The special itself was 1 hour, unfortunately- they didn't play many videos or concert footage...it was mostly interviews from over the years (and he looked very nice) Bill Walitchka (the host) said he was a "sweetheart" which was so out of character for Bill, that I really had a good laugh.

The nicest part of the whole special, however, was near the end, when Meat was asked about how he would like to be remembered, or what he hoped people would remember about him, and he talked about always trying 100%- he said "sometimes I suck live, well I think it sucked, but i'm always giving it my all, it may not be good- but I'm trying"

The nice thing was, after he made this statement- they showed a montage of Meat Loaf onstage and in video over the past 25 years, and every single moment was filled with obvious passion and commitment- every single video clip and still, so many images of Meat Loaf from 1977 all the way up to this year, were chock full of that 110% passion(so many in fact that they played the montage in fast forward-talk about exhausting-EVEN just watching- phew!). The interviewer even commented, "well it must be comforting to know, when you retire, that you never did anything without giving it your all, that's a really great way to be able to look back on your career."

So, while I was disappointed that there wasn't as much Meat Loaf music as I had hoped, I walked away from the special feeling as though I had learned a little bit more about this great performer, and his very demanding work ethic. Hearing him talk about his work in a quasi-retrospective way, really gives you a great deal of respect for the man. His personal definition of success inspires you to demand no less of yourself.

It was a pleasure to see.

Great word! Rockumentary I taped it for Eva, but I haven't heard from her. I taped it for her, so we can trade the footage for a CD or something. Preferebly BBIS.
