Default Meat In This Months FHM Magazine

Just thought I'd let everyone know that Meat is in this months (December) issue of FHM Magazine.
It's an article on Meats favourite pub, which seems to be The Elephant and Castle in Kensington, London.
In the article Meat talks about, well pubs and drinking really and there are a few pictures of the man himself.

I think FHM is different in every country, although the same article might be in the all so I would check first or I just try and get hold of a UK edition.

Waitrose is the supermarket chain owned by John Lewis. Their magazine was one which Mercury's Head of Press said would be featuring Meat in November. I believe you can order the magazine on-line and am trying to get confirmation/details

It's not a full article about Meat, but rather one which in which several stars on tour talk about what they eat. This is what Meat says:

Meat Loaf at Maggie Jones's, London W8
Portrait by Katinka Herbert

"When I'm touring in London, I eat at Maggie Jones's restaurant, close to my hotel in Kensington. My band discovered the place. They would eat here and bring back leftovers for me but the food was so good I had to try it for myself. The first time I ate here it reminded me of an old English movie, and my favourite dish has to be the onion soup. Backstage on tour, I ask for green beans, broccoli, vegi-cheese, crackers and brown rice. I was vegetarian for nine years and I'm heading back that way, so I eat quite healthily. After the performance I go straight back to the hotel. I don't go out and party because I believe that if you have enough energy after the show to do anything other than drag yourself to bed, then you haven't done your job properly."

Meat Loaf will be on tour throughout the UK during November and December. For bookings and information, call 0870 100 0000. Maggie Jones's is at 6 Old Court Place, London W8. Tel 020 7937 6462.

This is scary!!!

I'm from Germany and as much as I am looking for any of the papers, described above, I CANNOT FIND ONE OF THEM !!!
Is germany now finally behind the moon?? If anyone has scanned these articles, can you send them perhaps?
kossmann.m@gmx.de

Thanks for any help,
Yours Man in the German moon...

PS: the same thing with all the TV shows from America: Meat appears everywhere and anyone can tape it, except HERE IN F*****G Germany! Should try the Green card........
PPS: Nice thought: A green Card because of Meat! They should think about a Meat Card...

It was in our shop in Ireland, but i dont think i have been embarrassed
that way for a long time, the thing is i didnt know what this magazine
was, so i went in to this shop in our town that basically sells every
magazine available here, then i asked the girl behind the counter for
FHM, she gave me a withering look, shouted to the guy in the back
to reach her the magazine down of the TOP shelf!
by this time other people had come into the shop and were giving
me equally bad looks, i was starting to feel uncomfortable, there
is this magazine with scantily clad women being passed in front of me,
and i am telling anyone who would listen i only want it because it
has something about meatloaf in it, silently praying that it does.
got the magazine home and thank god that it does. :)
i think next time i think i will find out about the magazine before i get it.

Bigmomma,

Your story made me laugh! Now I finally understand Chris' comment about the brown paper bag! As we say about "Playboy" and "Playgirl" in America: "I only read it for the articles!" :P

Got my copy of FHM yesterday, looks like Meat can't resist a good old pint while he is here. When he is in Manchester, he should try a Boddies(the cream of Manchester) or a Joey Holts pint, their best. I am sure he will also be able to find is favourite tipple of Tequila up here too.

Sherrie
I was only Joking about the brown paperbag!!!!!

As a newsie, i have to say that i am disgusted by the shop assistant in BigMommas story - you should never embarrass a customer like that!! If she worked for me, she would be on shelf stacking duties for months!!!!!

For the peeps who ordered a copy off me, don't worry!!! the magazine is not a dodgy porn mag!! it is a "lads mag" aimed at lads aged 17-23 years old!! It is the male equivalent of cosmopolitan, More, Red - that sort of magazine!!!!!!

I dont know chris, over here in Ireland, it is on the topshelf with the
more "adult" mags, yes there is nothing Too raunchy in it, just looks
like it from the cover, and the way things are in our little town, it is
just lucky the womens mags that came out in England a few years
ago arent here, i think they would seriously not get sold!
