THANK YOU<

For all the support and love that the lot of you have given me, you spoke your truth about CHSIB I did not argue , because it is like art in a museum everyone sees something else, as the artist I tried explaining some it to so you so saw the picture better. Now most artist are very sensitive and insecure and i stand among them a total pardoid and but I am
one artists who cares more about the audience weither it's playing for them, making records, live, OR film
, just be at one of those celebrity golf tournaments, signing when every I'm asked, for you at the end of show even though I can barley spell Meat Loaf how dumb have you got to be to not be able to do that. Then your at point on a given night where it just all clicks in as is magic , the band felt it at tier to a man. and they don't come often were everything feels rights everything works the way you want it to. you thank the lord right on stage. this year there has been fewer, because of several reasons, but germany I was getting back in my grove and the last show was magic to me my voice after the first 4 mins did what every I wanted it to it soared when I wanted it It hushed-seemed it was there I was in the Zone. and it seemed in early reviews that others thought so also. then Michael crushed me. I mean really hurt because I can't do better, on one show as a whole one songs might better on a given night I don't do a show from song to song it is an 2 hour musical space , I haven't written back about any of the other reviews because I agreed with them if some-said he miss a couple of spots their were right,
Let me explain for my little friend winston
It is much much harder
to be creative in the same space every night and and try never to repeat yourself exactly every night never be the same, yes just like a comedy on the west end you do use things that work but you vary them every night so there are not exactly doing the same thing over and over again.

keeping the same set and space and being creative in it is a 1000 times more work , than bands who only know to change there sets to be creative , why because there are musicians, once again I am actor who brings something different to you standard rock night out. and 50% of the music press have hated me for me, because people hate what the don't understand
, they just don't like feeling stupid so they must put it down, that is why Jim has just always laughed at them, he is better at that than me. I am sorry my out bursts , truths are fine, but misquotes, lies, more ,miss-quotes, assumptions, rumors, and hatred toward me make me upset. You have never seen the worst of me thank god for that because some people would have need 20 years of t therapy when I would have got done .I can be a very mean cruel person who always went straight for the Kill ........ Love you all good and bad, try to look ant the show as a 2 hours play not song after song concert, it is that is very thought out ask the band next any of you are talking to me outside the bus.

I leave the site now better informed and but better knowing it's time to hang up the spurs. To Shane TRying to come to NZ really trying we may be back for 15 or 16 shows in europe in JUne and July. I am not going back out in American right now CHSIB moved up to 36 on the hot AC and if its moving another 15 places and we cross to pop WE HAVE A HIT!

So this is good bye from this site.
I have a site opening soon
it will be a pay site but not to much and I will be there all the , WE want
R from here to come withus.

Goodbye and I love you , Winston you got your wish I'm( NOT BECAAUSE
I WANT TO BUT YOU WILL BRING OUT THJE WORST IN ME , ASK GOD AND WALK AWAY TURN THE OTHER CHECK. MY YOU FIND HAPPINESS IN YOUR LIVE. and just bitter and sorry!

gone and not reading!!! But the other website will be up and I know you want pay.

Last Laugh!!!

Goodbye to all the big time fans,
Keep rocking
Meat

AGAIN GOODBYE AND LOTS OF LOVE!!!!

Forever Meat

Oh, Meat! Such sadness!!

All of us here saw with increasing pain, your reactions to things said. So, I suppose this moment may have been inevitable, although most of us were trying to stave it off.

But there is/was so much more to say to you--to share with you--to 'sing' with you.

It goes without saying that I send my best wishes to all that lies in your future, for it will be in my future, too! I send my love and my thanks for a life you have helped to change for the better.

I wish I could find the words to make you change your mind, make you turn around and stay, but quite frankly, I couldn't stand to watch you hurting again and again and again. I'm sure I was not alone in feeling that way.

I am deeply saddened to hear that you may not come back to the US as we had hoped and prayed. I hope you WILL change your mind about that, when you've had some distance from all that has happened here.

You have so many fans over here--so many fans around the world--who want you, who need you in their lives. I don't think that any of us will ever give up on you.

Your new site--well, of course, many of us will happily be there!! And we wish you much luck with it, as well.

I wish I could find the words...but, for a change, they fail me.

Take good care of yourself, Meat!! Enjoy the rest of your European and UK concerts!!

Please know that we will always be here for you, in whatever way that can be!

It has been a great pleasure and a privilege having you here with us for this time!! I can't think of many other artists who would open themselves up in this way.

You have always been and will always be truly one-of-a-kind!!

God bless and keep you!!

Sending love to you and yours,
MB

Meat,

I am extremely sad to hear that you are feeling this way. MB is right, we all saw it coming but we tried to ignore the inevitable.
My best wishes are with you and I wish you all the happiness and love for your future.
As you know, many of us will be there for you at your new site. That goes without saying.
I wish I could say something to change your mind but I don't think that will happen.
Take care of yourself and all my love to you and yours,

Maria

And let me say this straight. This is nobody's fault. This is not caused by 1 or 2 persons. We cannot blame anybody here. It is Meat's decision. he is an adult. So don't start yelling here please. And by the way, again, he'll come back. I am damn sure about that.

I absolutely agree with you Bart. We all participate in this forum by choice. If anyone, including Meat, decides they don't want to participate anymore then it's sad but it's their own personal choice.

Well, happy Guy Fawkes Day, eh?

Meat says he won't come back to read or reply so I'm not sure anything can be done to get him back. I see he does want R to come along and be involved in the new site so the connection will still be there.

But, I know just where Meat is coming from in his work-a-day world. Let's face facts. Meat's "job" is to entertain. It's a job albeit a bit more glamorous (yeah right) than what other people do for a living, but I can identify with him. There you are, working your behind off to please everyone and you think you are doing a good job of it and you are pleased with yourself and then ...BOOM ...there's that one little bastid that you allow to ruin it for you. I have it happen to me nearly every other day. I'm working for a company that has had numerous cut-backs. I work in an office and as each member of staff leaves their job is dropped in my lap and I try to do my best to cover all bases, doing things that I've never done before, off the cuff, new things, trying new things, trying to do the old in a more efficient way, trying to please all, proud that I'm able to do the things, and BOOM, that one little bastid, I ALLOW to ruin it for me. And it hurts.
I'm not looking for an atta-girl or pat on the head at every turn. I just don't want a kick in the butt for one minor infraction.
To do a hundred things a day, 99 of them proper and 1 goes a bit by the wayside and that's the one that gets pointed out.
And that's where I see the point of what Meat is hurting about. He gives all of himself into each and every show and it's not just the 2 hours fans see. There's prep time, rehersal, changes, constant changes and what happens? He performs his butt off up there for 120 minutes sometimes more but for sake of argument take an even number and 119 of them to all are magical and then there's that one minute that someone points out, the sound went off, his voice went off, he didn't stand on their side of the stage, he didn't do their song, blah blah blah blah blah...
So, how really is he supposed to feel? He can't control how a fan feels. The fan has to bring that to the show. He can't control every single little thing that happens on the stage or in the theater, etc.
I'm rambling.
I'm upset.
I'm upset for Meat.
I'm upset for the fans that so enjoyed turning their computers on in the morning, as is MY habit, to see if he's visited here.
I'm upset for me.

As for him saying that, at this point in time there's no American leg scheduled, in my heart, I know, time will soothe, things will change.

Just yesterday I announced at work to those who care that they will be on their own the day Meat is playing where I can get to him because I'm not missing him. It could be the last I can ever see him and I intend to be there. I have faith he will be there and I will too.

He's always there for me, not in the physical sense, but in my heart and my mind. His music gets me through my lousy work-a-day life.

I'm rambling again.

Okay, I'm done now. It's the best I could do for 5am in the morning. There's probably more I want to say, could have said better.

Hope you did come back to read, Meat. Don't ALLOW the one bastid, or two, bring you down.

Take care.

Thank you, bless you, love you and stay well.

Biiiiig hug.

It's quite likely that he was planning not to post here any more anyway once his new website opens.

You will still be able to post messages to Meat Loaf....it's just that you'll have to pay for the privilage.

Meat, you bring such joy and excitement to so many every time you step on stage. You have talked about how Rock and Roll has its roots in the gospel the slaves sang when their lives were wretched to take them to a better place, and the total concentration and effort you bring to your craft has given this gift to so many. In similar vein your presence here has brought excitement and pleasure to so many of us. Whatever you choose to do now cannot take away one precious moment of that.

I've said before that it's the depth of emotion you feel as a human being which is the wellspring that enables you to bring such emotion into your performances. No-one comes near you in conveying passion, joy, despair through song. What we see on stage is real which is why it blows us away. You open your heart and soul, the core of your emotion, every night and put this on the line for us before you leave, bleeding and exhausted.

No doubt some will suggest you were planning to leave anyway, or make comments about having to pay to be part of your new site. Some will hop on and ask for more concerts or different songs. This kind of failure to understand the precious gift you brought here is what has driven you away.

You brought yourself to this forum. And because you are who you are, you did not come as a "star" (something you hate and eschew) but as a human being with all the hopes, fears, fun, enthusiasm and emotion that comes with it. You did not come here for critical analysis but to share something of yourself, and most of us have felt privileged that you did.

When you set foot on stage there is true magic. Right now I am reminded of the child who will pull the wings off a butterfly out of misguided curiosity, because picking apart the magnificent and magical whole that is you and the gift you bring is to do just that. And now some will stand back and, like the robot Number 5 who crushed the butterfly and couldn't understand why it could not be reassembled, no doubt be puzzled at your reaction. Sadly I'm not. We've seen your hurt, but still some have insisted on their divine right, duty even, to pick you and the magic apart. What we sow we reap. You have bled once too often. A true family understands, cares for, respects and protects the feelings of its members out of love. You came to us here as family, and brought your inner child with all its honest openness and eager innocent excitement as well as its creativity. Shame on our family today for those who persisted in bruising and abusing it, but mostly for being blind to what they were doing.

Like many today I weep for losing you, but thank you so much for the precious gift of sharing yourself with us for the time you did. Would that I could put my arms around you and hug the hurt away. Would that I could change your mind. We had something rare and precious, and now it's gone.

Just allow me to post a short rant:

<rant>
I think it's quite useless and a waste of energy and database space if you bicker about a website you simply don't know.
I'd rather prefer that we wait until the site is finally online and all of us have found out for what we have to pay.
</rant>

Thanks for your time.
