Default THE PERFECT SPECIAL CHRISTMAS CARD AND STOCKING FILLER

Don't know about the rest of you, but every year the cost of a card for those I want to give a special card rather than one from a box of "assorteds" goes up, as does the cost of small "stocking filler" type gifts.

Well this year what better to send and give that the new Man of Steel single? At £1.99 from HMV it costs little more than some individual cards, and less than many boxes of chocolates .. and having seen my list for small gifts/special cards numbers 15, there's free postage too :)

And what could be better than receiving a CD with Man of Steel, Tear Me Down and Love You Out Loud on it?

One list of Christmas shopping aced!!!

I bought 6 this morning, well I'm off - good start. Informed HMV I'd cleared their shelves, could they make sure that they re-stock

Wow, what a great sales pitch for Meat's single, your sales pitch was so good that I now three people that will be getting a copy for there Christmas present.

I have been trying to get more of my friends and relatives into Meat's music and what a better way this will be like a sampler pack for them, great idea CarylB. :) :) :)

Well mine arrived from HMV this morning .. not bad for free postage eh? .. and there's something quite personal about this CD as a Christmas card/gift .. for you can ask if the recipient can spot your pic in the poster .. lol .. so it's a customised gift too!!!

Caryl .. off to find an eskimo for this dang fridge I have hanging around :)

I bought another copy in Asda today as an Xmas gift to my Dad. There were quite a few on the shelves, but it was no.10 in their chart.

i brought 5 copies, most of them are for friends abroad who want the english version like they're sending me copies from their countries, anyway, after a mad diversion- the guy at the shop told me that i wasn't old enough to appreciate meats music!?!?!?!?!? and then he told me that i was stupid to but 5 copies of any single.......i promplty replied that it was my money and i'd spend it how i like and meats music was probably lost him so would he kindly keep his opinions to himself and let me get meat to the number 1 spot!

No he didn't ask us to buy 5 copies Kathy :) .. that was way back when the single of CHSIB came out and there was a huge problem with distribution .. Meat asked us if those of us who could find it could buy extra in that week so that sales figures weren't depressed by product inavailability generally.

But this time we hope the CD is readily available .. It just struck me that it would make an excellent substitute for more expensive cards or chocolates as Christmas tokens/gifts .. and would put Meat on lots of people's tables this year as well as helping sales :) .. particularly as Meat has been hors de combat and unable to promote sales in a week he had obviously hoped to do ..

How can you be too old to appreciate Meat's music? And what business is it of his to comment on how many copies you buy? He should be grateful he's making a profit!!
Good on you, girl for standing up to him!

My friend had also been down Wednesday morning n there were no copies then. So ill have 2 look in HMV when I go 2 Doncaster at the weekend

Caryl, thanks for the explanation! And you're right, you know now that I think of it I have a niece and nephew I usually just give a check to; this year I'll stick the checks in a Meat Loaf CD! I have NO idea what kind of music they listen to - they live far from me (in Texas) - but who knows, maybe they would like it. Maybe I'll give one to my sister, too. Would you believe this had not even occurred to me
