Default What is your best christmas present?

I get the Quid Pro Quo CD from my sister, but that was no surprise, because I asked her to.
But the really big surprise was when I opened it, what did I found inside?:

I won backstage passes/meet and greet with Kasim

That means I hope even more than before, that Meat and his band will come back to Germany in the near future!!

Congratulations Keep Rocking

My best present was a book, The Wolves Of Calla, the next book in the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King.
Now I have something new to read at work today. Hopefully it will be quiet enough to do so

That is a hella good gift Badger, to be sure! I adore Lou Reed, and John Cale ain't too hard on the eyes either. My favorite VU songs- Some Kinda Love (with the classic line "between thought and expression/lies a lifetime"), Pale Blue Eyes and Sister Ray. Now I'm gonna have to go check out that boxed set!

My best Christmas gifts- wireless headphones so I can listen to Meat really loud without bothering the rest of my home and a framed momento of the final Simon and Garfunkel concert of their reunion tour that I attended last Sunday with my husband. He framed our tickets, a review, a press photo and a photo that I took when I snuck up to the front row for the last song. Very cool. I also got lots of choccies, always a good thing!

A beautiful Celtic Cross in silver to go on my charm bracelet but I may wear it as a necklace so I can wear it more often. My son went and choose it all on his own and paid for it from his own money so it will always be special to me.

Having Wild Honey with me for Christmas and New Years is fantastic, but getting a tour around the Shephard Neamh brewery is pretty sweet.

Oh my....I haven't seen a "White Christmas" since 1978, and I'm in no rush to see one again! In fact, my 7 year old son has never seen snow. Right now it is 80 degrees where I live (sorry, don't know what that is in Celcius) and that is the perfect holiday weather, IMHO!

Roughly that translates as "too bloody hot for xmas"

It should eb minus 5 with snow so thick the cows get lost on the way back to the milking sheds!!!!!

I am sorta guessing we do have snow in Germany at the moment, cos I flew out in a snowstorm on tuesday. No snow here in Luton though. Wouldn't call that necessarily bad though. I prefer warmth to cold.
