how do you quote in msg replies?

i know that you click "quote" of course but in the box on the next page it comes up with the quote and the required HTML things but doesnt appear on the forum like everyone elses!

simple answer please!

Make sure that "Disable BBCode in this post" is not checked and verify you allow BBCodes in your profile.
