Thats a good question actually! I'm going tomorrow too, as well as the above I'd like to know whether things like T-Shirts are available?

Hiya,
I was at Hyde Park, there is Meat Loaf merchandise available but alot of it is Route Of Kings Merchandise. You can get Meat Loaf T-Shirts - there were three available at Hyde Park at £18.00 each but they only had large or extra large. There's a really nice black strappy top, it's black with Meat Loaf in red on the front with a bat behind it, but it is £24. I'm 16 and I got a "small" one, and it is small - so check the sizes before you buy! There's a Meat Loaf baseball cap, again with the red logo and bat, a Meat Loaf keyring which I think is about £3 - 4. There's also mugs, polo shirts and stuff available but they've got Route Of Kings on rather than Meat Loaf. The programmes are £7 - but again it's a Route Of Kings programme, so there's a double page spread allocated to each artist, there's a bit of writing and two pics. It's a nice thing to have but a few people couldnt believe I'd spent £7 on it :S Hope that's a help! Enjoy Liverpool! Lucy! Xxx |

Sorry I must have used an unacceptable word in my last post - must be very sensitive as the word was nothing offensive

Yeah, thanx very much - good to have an idea before I get there, much appreciated. The Liverpool concert is Summer Pops not Route of kings, but I would say it will follow the same format - some meat stuff with some Summer Pops stuff.
Can't wait! ![]() |

I saw Elton John at the summer Pops a few weeks ago and there are no Summer Pops merchandise for sale (perhaps just a poster). Elton had his own programmes and (poor and expensive) merchandise.
It will be great venue for the concert tomorrow. I was in the 'cheap' (£38.50!!!) seats for him right in the back and had a great view - I am much closer tomorrow ![]() Meirion |

By the way, has Sir Elton John ever worked with Meat Loaf before? I think they both have amazing voices!

Be aware, in Leeds all Meat Loaf merchandise was at least two pounds expensive. Cap f.e. 20 pound......... instead of 18 (or 16 don't know anymore) as in London

I went to the show last night in Liverpool and it was a great show (but it went on so late I had to leave before he sang Bat out of Hell
![]() As for the London show there was a special programme availabe which covered all the shows at the Pops. They were sellingthm for a bargain price of £1 (it was really thick and big). When I saw Elton John there they must not be ready in time which is why they were selling them so cheaply now. As I had to leave early - does anyone know if he sang anthing after Bat out of Hell? Thanks |

Yeah, he sang that 'Go Johnny Go' song from Rocky Horror. Bat was awesome though, should have finished with that!

Sorry didn't know the song that well - a bit before my time (I'm only 21.) Just assumed it was from RH. Its pretty much the only Meat film I haven't seen, and probably one of his best! Watched BlackTop last night, liked him in that BUT WHY DOES HE ALWAYS HAVE TO DIE?!
Anyway I answered the question didn't I?! |

Steinbat, I'm only 20 and I watched Rocky at the age of 12. And I've heard of Chuck Berry and Jonny B Goode. Take a trip to HMV and have a good look round.

Well aren't you clever! I have heard of Chuck Berry, just don't particularly follow the music, incase you hadn't noticed I'm a MEAT LOAF fan, among others.
Maybe its different in Luton, but I don't think I need to spend a day in HMV. |

Well there we go, one way off comment and its already taught me so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No problem meirion, sorry you weren't able to see the big man perform Bat, but it was a helluva concert! Just seen his entry on the VH-1 top 100 men thing - he came in 25, 1 above Eminem!! On it they said "he always gives you more than what you think you're gonna get" - he certainly did that night - the place was rocking! |

I believe somone on VH1 100 men all so said that Meat was the best live performer they'd ever seen as he acts the songs not only sings them.

Yeah he did - he said that Meat is a true performer as he acts the songs out - he said "Meat will be the first to admit he sees himself as an actor on stage rather than a singer" - and the person who said it was the great Jim Steinman. Its true too - when I saw him at Liverpool he acted every single word, like it meant so much to him. Especially in Paradise and Dead Ringer, his acting roots shone through immensely - it adds so much and makes him such an awesome live act!
Also on the show the Stereophonics said he (and Jim) deserves great credit for Bat 1 never leaving the charts - they even said they know they'll never acheive anything like that. |
