GREAT!!!! finally the new album!!!

Strange that they release it first in Germany, but that's also good, cause the Netherlands are close to Germany

Hope it will be a great album. I think so..... but still we have to wait.

But the title.....don't like it.

I can't belive Meat Loaf really did it without Jim Steinman! I can't wait to hear this in 2003 And also can't wait to hear Coulden't Have Said It Better!

Does anyone know how well the single is doing in Germany? I've had people comming up to me and saying that the album is going to be a flop, and if Meat wants to win over the audience Did i say that is not the song to use. Your Views Please.

Richard:

The single isn't released yet, so we simply don't know how well it does.

I had the chance to listen to it a few times and I do think it's amazing. It' s a really great song, a typical Meat Loaf song. On the other hand, I do agree with those opinions that this song might not be the best choice to win the audience. Why do I think this? Well, if you take a closer look at the stuff which is selling big times know, you'll notice that 99% of these 'songs' are nothing more than some simple structured artificial boom-boom material performed by androgyne artists. That's the kind of music that sells now - especially in Germany. 'Did I Say That' is something completely different: it's complex and performed by an artist who isn't androgyne at all.

But then again, who am I to predict how 'Did I Say That' will do after it's release.

Just my 2 eurocents.

Edit: Just noticed, that you made a double post. I'll delete one in just a second.

Amazing song, I've just listened to it.
Especially the end is great!!!

I think the song can help Meat to get his audience back, because it's a very good song.
Everybody has his own opinion, but I don't think the song is better than Bat or I'd Do Anything For Love, because without Steinman that is impossible. But I compare with songs from Welcome To The Neighbourhood. The song is powerfull like Where The Rubbers Meets The Road and Amnesty Is Granted.

Michel, where did you listen to that song, where can we all listen to it.......can't take it any more!

I do think that it was the real Meat Loaf on this forum, why not. Oh my god, and i said that i didn't like the title........Well, maybe it's just like Welcome To The Neighbourhood, and I will like it to, when i've heard the album, you'll never know.

But i'm still curious were you can listen to the new song!!!

I think its not the best song to win an audience with because there are four people i know and only one of them thinks its good. If Meat wants to win an audience these days he would need a single like "where the rubber meets the road" or "Tear Me Down" because these songs are very similar to todays music.

Well, just heard the song.......maybe i have to listen to it more!!. But I'm a bit disappointed.
Still it's a good song.
(or is it just me, and am I to cynical / critical about it???)

And as someone mentioned, i don't think you can compare this with Bat, Paradise or I'd do anything for love. Those were and are still pearls!!!
