Meat Loaf in Liverpool - July 18th 2005

American rock and pop legends MEAT LOAF and ANDY WILLIAMS have become the first names to sign up to this year's Liverpool Summer Pops.

The event that in the past five years has brought the likes of Elton John, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and dozens more huge stars to the city, will return this June and July. More big names expected to be confirmed over the coming weeks and months.

MEAT LOAF performed to a sold-out Pops audience back in 2002. Tickets this time round will be on sale from Friday 11 February, and demand is likely to be extremely high. He has promised to perform a greatest hits set including favourites such as 'Bat Out of Hell', 'Dead Ringer for Love', 'I would do anything for love', 'Two out of three ain't bad, 'You took the words right out of my mouth', and many more.
