Default And Relax...Sorta

Just got the final conformation email that my final bit of written coursework is in, it's marked, it's not a disaster...whoo!

How come it's always practical subjects that have the most written work? I don't see the logic in it...my English coursework was 3 pages, even my two psychology assignments only came to 6 altogether...so how come drama comes to 17? Felt like making the font bigger to make it look like I'd done more work!

But...can't relax just yet...because tomorrow is the dreaded drama moderation where I have to perform in front of an audience, two teachers and a moderator (and I am not convinced he will be as nice as the ones on here!).

my pleasure. Know you can do it. It is simple. In the beginning maybe you are a bit tense about the audience... but just don't see them My tip as a teacher hahah

Unfortuntly this is an audience-involved piece...acting close to them (or my version of acting anyway ), some of them are even on the stage, gotta hand things to them and talk to them and make eye contact and everything!

I always get really nervous beforehand, so will be running round panicking all morning... Got any more of that luck going?

I get knocked around a lot during the performance and have had my fair share of bruises during rehearsals ...drama can be a dangerous subject!

We're all starting to lose our voices so hopefully they'll hold out tomorrow...anyway, we're going out for a drink afterwards so if it all does go wrong we'll be ok

Thanks everyone who posted and pm-ed to wish me luck, you guys are the best

Think it went ok, apparently my written part was really good (despite from handing it on at the 11th hour!) and we all did well in the moderation.

This is despite:
Year 7's outside making lots of noise
One of the actors has to walk through the audience and then go round through the side door...except the fire door closed by accident and she got locked out! She had to do some quick thinking to be able to get on stage!
Forgotten lines
Someone standing on the sheet two of the actors get covered with so they had to hold their "shocked dead expression" for much longer
Me nearly hitting the moderator with a stuffed rabbit
One actor choking on a tic-tac that was doubling as a sleeping tablet
The candle refusing to light
Me banging my head so hard on the floor that I couldn't stand up for the sight cue at the end!

Having said that apparently no one noticed, not even the moderator

Apart from that it went fine

Between us we collected an injury list of 16 bruises, two cuts, one scald with a candle and one very sore head! Think they should give us danger money at the beginning of the course?

Really enjoyed myself and although they can't tell us our exact grades it looks like I'm on track for my predicted grade...thank goodness We all went from hyper to exhasution this morning...so off we trooped to the pub for a couple of hours

Heli - you are gonna be fine hun, we weren't ready this time last week either and we were fine so you def will be, honest. Good luck, will be thinking of you <hugs>

Thanks again everyone

Thanks Tim Yeah, a LOT less stressed...

Was shaking really badly at one point...luckily I was supposed to be terrified so it worked in my favour! There was a reason I took that part!

Just got to deal with exams now!
