Have to say mine is a teddy bear i bought on ebay with a leather jacket on, with Meat Loaf embroidered on it ~ they said it was used in a promo for something but i dont know if it was, i just think it's cute.

My Meat Loaf Christmas tree bauble !!
I was on a weekend break in London when I spotted it in HMV at Piccadilly Circus. So every Christmas when it's hanging on my tree it reminds me of Meat Loaf (obviously ) and that lovely weekend in London when I bought it. Last edited by Sapphire Lady; 13 Jul 2005 at 23:03. Everything a have from Meat
But ond special, i got a lot of LPs from him in a room at the wall, and i took a picture of it it gave it at him to watch and sign. As he saw it, he means, that is cool and signed it. But he turned around and signed wrong. So i have the Lps right and the signing is wrong or i have the signing right and the Lps wrong. its a special thing for me. I hope you all know what i mean ? |

I haven't a clue to be honest.
As far as i know they were the sample sleeves for the book and never got distributed. As i said, mine came from an auction on here years ago but I wouldn't know whether the folks organising it got them from. I have never seen any for sale anywhere. I'm also intrigued as to who else owns it as i have never heard of anyone else owning one! |

Several of the jackets were obtained by the MLUKFC shortly before Meat's autobiography was published in the UK ... (please don't ask, afraid we don't have any more left). If my memory is correct this was a "working" version for the UK publication but was discarded in favour of the red sleeve which was used on both sides of the Atlantic. As far as I know only a handful have seen the light of day, making them extremely rare and highly collectable. Did I mention that this is also a beautiful book jacket?!!! Diane Diane |

I have one of them green sleeves - same place as Chris, an auction on here a while back. I didn't realise how rare they were though! I best make sure it is safe lol!
I think I have the phenomology of excess as well. Good read I guess :) Wouldn't have minded that CHSIB Vinyl, will have to keep looking! :) |
