Default George Best R.I.P. at peace finally...

It is with sadness that the death of George Best was reported today shortly before 13.00 hours....

George Best No.7 - played for both Manchester United and Fulham, these are certainly the days I remember.....

He was a genius on the football pitch, and Pele once said that he was the BEST in the world...........

George's life was tumultous to say the least, but I believe that he will be remembered for his prowess on the field, rather than off it......

George Best had requested that his organs if of use be donated to help others, as his own liver transplant was given with the chance of life to go with it.

God Bless

George....

A true soccer legend and only 59 years old. So very sad that he was never able to combat his off-pitch demons.

RIP George

I don't want to sound like an heartless S.O.B but his death was self inflicted through alcohol. He took a liver 3 years ago and still carried on drinking, despite being told if he did it would probably kill him. That liver could have been better used on someone who would have better benefitted from the gift of life.

He was a genius on the field, and will be sorely missed by some. But I'm sorry, I for one won't mourn his passing, as two people died so he could live, the donor and the alternate recipient of the organ, and he abused it.
