Default Not enough live concert DVDs

Has anyone ever noticed how some recording artist like Elton John and Bon Jovi seem to bring a new concert DVD out every month and yet there's hardly any Meat ones? I'd love to see a live one from 93' time, his performances are so passionate, especially around that time when he was a little younger, it's really moving to see him do AFL on the To Hell and Back video.

I agree 100%! The more the better. I particularly want to see some of the rarer ones, eg Read Em and Weap, or IGLHFBOU! Meat does so much touring, surely there must be SOME more that could be released???

Maybe when Bat3 comes out??

Unless the concerts aren't being recorded. But I can't see that as a possibility. Maybe Meat's just waiting until he decides to stop touring, and is planning on releasing them then?

I'd love to see a DVD like Trex2003 said, with rare videos and rare live performances on it. Would be awesome!!

There's a whole truckload. But I'll doubt they'll ever get released. Just on the topic, but here are the releases I know about:

Meat Loaf: Live at the Bottom Line (correct? I've never seen this)
Meat Loaf and the Neverland Express: Bad Attitude Live (awesome concert)
Hits Out Of Hell (the earlier video substitutes MTYD with Dead Ringer)
Bat Out Of Hell II: Picture Show (live videos and music videos, interviews etc. Meat makes one cool remark: "I'm the singer, Jim Steinman's the writer and it's got fantasy art on the cover!")
Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

plus a concert that's only available in Mexico or something.

There are all the videos from Bad Attitude, BBIS, WttN and CHSIB which have yet to be released onto one form. The BAT II videos are only available on VHS since Picture Show has never made it to DVD. There's a whole video compilation alone.

I think we might get something in the midst of all the BAT 30 celebrations

What? Objects live on vid?
I have seen on MTV many times Rock and roll dreams live. It was from the same concert as the Bat 2 Picture show. But on that video its not there.

So the full show was on tv then? What was the setlist exactly then?
I remember seeing the hour long mtv special in 93.
It didnt feature the annoying edits that exist on the video, also included "Took the words" and ended with a live version of "Rock n Roll dreams". The songs were so long (10 minutes each or so) that there was a commercial break after each one! Still got it on a dodgy video somewhere.

I'd love to see some sort of rare anthology dvd, maybe featuring some of meats personal footage from every tour, I'd especially love to see some footage of the festivals that meat has played like Knebworth 1985 or Reading Festival 1988, I think it would be great to have a double live dvd 1st disc containing all the 70s/80s stuff and then the 2nd disc containing everything from Bat 2 to the present.

I thought it would a great idea too to be able to chose which camera you watch the concert through on a live concert DVD- personally I wouldn't take the camera off Patti.

I really think Meat should treat us fans by bringing out a live concert of the to be Bat 3 Tour as it will probaly be his last and a cd to go along with it.

That's in my opinion that that is what he should do. What do you lot think ??

I agree, also. I hope there IS footage from all you listed, aside from non-conventional If there could be filming on the next tour, maybe Meat could be talked into commentating again.

I'd love to see the Harewood HOTD Gig again but sadly, although there
were cameras to feed to the large screen at the back, they weren't allowed to film it.

Still roll on a BAT3 Tour - I'm even saving now so I can travel to the US for a gig, I reckon on his home turf he'd be even better!

If Bat 3 is a large success than no sweat, the record company is gonna wanna make some money, so we'll probly see another greatest hits album, a live cd possibly (up to Meat) and Green Day not long ago released a cd + dvd thing... i think its best when live cds and dvds are seprate sometimes... cause you get special features and more time put in... example MSO dvd, spectacular.
Live around The World, excellent.

I would love to see another live concert DVD like the MSO one .... filmed over 2 or 3 nights, with Meat singing all of the songs from all of the Bat albums. I could just imagine hearing Rock N Roll Dreams or Heaven Can Wait with a full orchestra backing them He could include a commentary (like he did for the MSO DVD) and maybe some additional rare performances

Yet another Rock And Roll Dream Come Through...

You imagine what that be like ... simply awesome.. I love how they did Lemon for the MSO, I'd like to see Meat do a few of those too. He really knows how to put the Rock hard, into Hard Rock That is what makes him an amazing performer, cause he can do it all
