Default Blackbird At Buster's

According to this message I received from producer Hal Mintz, Meat is going to be starring in the new movie Blackbird At Buster's :

Meat Loaf remains attached and he will be a terrific Buster Hayes. On Friday, Henry Winkler agreed to play the role of Lloyd Sims, a soft soap salesman who is a hostage—I love Henry’s acting and am very excited. Very preliminary, but… we have begun discussions with Owen and Luke Wilson to play Tommy and Brian O’Bannon, the brothers in the band. They are perfect and the roles are great for them—it would be extraordinary were they to come on board.

Production is supposed to start sometime this summer

It really sounds like a lot of fun.
Yes, unless something else comes up, he'll definitely be in it

You're welcome!

I figured he would not let his movie career stand by for 6+ months before the Bat3 tour without finding a project; I'm glad to see he has a confirmed movie role to film. Thanks for the great news.

Absolutely right
Also The Pleasure Drivers and Tenancious D still haven't been released ... so it looks like we'll have a lot of great movies to look forward to.

You're welcome

Presumably if Meat goes ahead with this it won't clash with anything to do with Bat III ( working title! ) ?!?!

Nope, assuming everything goes as planned, it shouldn't clash at all
For all we know, he may already be done recording Bat III, and they're supposed to start filming the movie this June, which would probably be before he starts doing any Bat III promotional appearances. Of course we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Have you heard where the location shots will be done; the majority of the filming?
