Maybe....... give me a couple of days to have a word with the company in the unit next door. I'll see what I can find out from them.

I asked Meat last year specifically about copyright issues, and he said Signatures would have to agree as they now handle all merchandising, and that he doubted they would agree to anything being produced. I was asking about calendars, but the same may well apply to these. Perhaps they might agree to take the design and have them produced for sale on their site? Caryl |

I'd of thought they'd design and sell one of there own. That was my original Idea when I posted about it on net.

I did say that I was expanding this thought from .net onto here - so thanks to Deb.... I tried Fanfire - not 10th street yet ! and they said to try the webmaster but what can he do. I might gig Signitures a call.. What do you think ????
I cannot see them saying no as this is really to help promote Bat III, so why say no ?? |

They can say no, because as Caryl said they do their own merchandise.
My idea in the first place was for the management or Meat to get the idea and make one available for us all to promote the album. If you get yours done, great, but I'd still like the idea of Meats management merchandising one. No offense Ross as yours is great but I think they have far better material to work with to get a better design. Deb |

Basically they have to say no to these sorts of inquiries because even if they deemed it to be not in direct competition with their own revenue channels, they can't control the quality of the materials that a fan would produce.
Which, afterall, is the entire reason that one hires design, advertising, marketing firms etc. For instance, not only are the images you used heavily compressed, they are at a screen resolution. Which means, compression artifacts aside, they would only be able to print less than an inch wide at priont quality, otherwise the images would be even more pixelated, or "soft". Not all advertising is good advertising. The public make split second judgements, subconciously or otherwise, on everything they see all the time. All that crap aside, nice work on making all these cool graphics. |

That's exactly it, when Meat's hired guns create their material the source images they have used are rediculously high resolution scans of Julie Bell's finished artwork. All we fans have access to are heavily compressed low resolution copies, and so can never have a hope of creating something as effective on the same scale. |

Perhaps something along these lines might get their attention?
I monkeyed around a bit with the project after seeing your idea. Its an excellent idea....definitely worth pursuing! IF something like this was readily available, I would promote it as much as I could. Seems odd that Meat's management has gone as far as using MySpace but not taken advantage of "street teams" (i.e. free labor/publicity). Hmmm.... |

Actually that does look very good doesn't it ?! Well done
Just a minor point, I am not a big fan of the picture of Meat to the far right. He looks a little bit stoned on that one. The rest is bloody excellent though. |
