Default the monster is ????

i love meat and steinmans music but i realy dont like the monster is loose... it doesnt fell real to me... doesnt draw any emotions out.

guess some would lable me a bad fan but i have ordered the album to c wat the rest is like.

what do others who have heard the track think..??

tbh it sounds like a cross between Evanescence ' tourniquet' and a black metal band in the way of the music. is meat trying to win ova the chavs of today who love 'shane ward' and westlife?

Well i don't lable you as a bad fan!!!!!!! i do not like everything that Meat does so......... I like the monster is loose very much! The feeling this song gives me is to break free... and at this point in my live i should do that. Listening to it gives me the power to do so.

Music is personal, thank god!!!

'Monster Is Loose' is very different to Meat's other stuff but I really like it. If Meat wanted he could churn out a pretty standard cd with his usual power ballads etc and he knows it would still sell pretty well. Meat's been very brave in my opinion and tried something different, not because he has to, but because he really wants to expand and stretch himself as an artist.

To be honest I don't think Meat needs the 'Chav' market, he has a dedicated fan base who will alwyas buy his records. I think 'Monster Is Loose' is a great attempt by Meat to move on stylistically....but don't forget we still got terrific old school Meat songs like 'Its All Coming Back To Me Now' 'Future Ain't What It Used To Be' and 'Bad For Good' on that same album!

I love it. I know it's a departure from the norm for him but I genuinely really love it! I can see how some of his fans might not like it though.

Well, I think this is more of a conco about a song rather than a general Bat III topic, so this is off to Tyre Tracks

Somehow Iīm too lazy to write a review of the whole song now...
But hereīs what I wrote some minutes after Iīve listened to TMIL the first time. That was May 19, but it feels like itīs a year ago

In my opinion thereīs just one word to describe this song:
wow!

Imo thats a great song!
Itīs something that I had never expected!
Somehow I was really surprised when I heard Meatīs voice after this intro.
For me it is a mix of Alice Cooper and Evanescence. There is so much power in it like I never heard in one of his songs.

While I listened to the song, sometimes I just couldnīt breathe! Thatīs so..., I cant describe it. Itīs really something new! Now I understand what Metal Loaf ment with Nu Metal! Actually Iīm not a big fan of NM, because most of these songs are made bad and without real emotion, just loud. But this is real good NM, such is very rare.
I really can imagine Meat singing this on stage, wow, that must be great! All the power and anger, and the whole audience will feel the same.
All in all itīs not what i expected, but itīs not worse than expected. I, for myself, hope that there will be some "classic" Meat songs on the album, too.
But we already know that there will be seize the night, bad for good, etc. so I really look forward to the whole album.
R.

Yeah, that's a good review RM. I totally agree that I wouldn't want a whole album of songs like this but it is great. So powerful ,like you said, and so full of energy. I was very surprised myself when I first heard it but it was a pleasant surprise.

It is the range of emotion in TMIL that sold me on it immediately, and Meat is the only one I know who can express all emotions within one song. This may be nu-metal - the power and anger come through that way, but there is an introspective ballad section as well. This song is perfect as both old and new territory for Meat: it has something for everyone.

(btw, I'm hooked on Evanescence's My Immortal).

I just didn't like The intrumental song and I think Bad for Good needs some updating on the sound cause it stills sounds 80's

I like 70% of the album, baab, alive tmil, igct, iiabbt, and few others. I can't get used to bfg or iacbtmn or the future or stn. They are the only songs I don't get, much prefer originals, love the cd but these few I have to say no!!

I love this song but not liking doesn't make you a bad fan.
You'll like the album when you get it, there's plenty on it
for Meat fans to love.

It's very BAT II, kind of a departure from BAT 1...but then again no two albums from one artist should really be the same
