Default How much Aday a day?

just thought about it:
how much time do you spend listening to Meat Loaf a day?

I personally would say 30-60 minutes, depends on the things I gotta do. Mostly in the evening, and not really evefytime an album, but just some songs I think I´d like to listen to. (Today it was Original Sin, Bad Attitude, Nowhere Fast, Surfs Up, I´ll kill you if you dont come back and Read em and weep)

How about you?

I must start by congratulating RJ on the thread title!

Depends with me - I have Meat on in the car so that's at least an hour a day, two hours if I'm working that night...some days I don't listen to him at all, then there's Meaty craving days, in which case I can't count the hours!

Depends what mood I'm in, where I am and what I'm doing.

College is two and a half miles away and I walk there and back so I wear my mp3 player. On my mp3 player, amongst albums from other performers, I have 9 Meat Albums. (Bat 1, Bat 2, Bat 3, Bat Live with the MSO, Blind Before I Stop, CHSIB, Dead Ringer, Midnight At The Lost & Found and WTTN). I usually listen to one of the albums both there and back so that would be roughly 2 hours,

Then at home, chillin' in my room, I always have music on, what I play is dependent on what I'm doing. I found, Meat is no good for background noise while I'm studying, on the other hand, when I'm just veggin' out or in a bad mood, he's excellent! Add another couple of hours on there for that.

Then in the evening, I have the albums on an .mp3 disc. I go to sleep with the hi-fi turned down low and songs playing in random order, (they help me sleep) so add another half an hour on for that.

All in all, on an average day I'd say Four and a half hours.

I usually get my fix singing the songs whilst I'm working, so I'm not really in the mood to listen to ML at home as well. Sometimes I do put it on, though, but usually live stuff, so I can *realises this will sound weird* get inside Meat's head, and then perform the songs better. If you see what I mean.

Like everyone else, my ML fests depend on moods.
Today, a US pressing of BBIS arrived, so the neighbours needed to hear that twice through.

Bat III has been in second place in my stacker since it's release, so that's generally on at least once a day.

There are rare days when I won't hear Meat at all unless the radio station obliges.

that put-all-albums-on-a-mp3-disc-and-play-it-random-before-sleep-idea is interesting. I might try that too

There could be days...and even months...when I don't listen to Meat at all...but when I go back to his records...I do listen non-stop then for those same days and months...

I've got all my Meat albums on my i-Pod, and I listen to it on the way to and from school (that's twenty minutes, three times a day) plus I have an i-Trip (snazzy gadget that feed the sound from the i-Pod through the radio) so if I'm in the car, it tends to be Meat (I also have Bat III in the CD player in the car at the moment).

If I'm on the laptop, I usually have i-Tunes running too, so I'd say I can listen to Meat for anything up to 6 hours a day...

sometimes i have to put Cry to heaven, all revved up. lemon and evrything louder on repeat as they're the ony ones she really likes.
unfortunatly i have to put swing on for her most days as her dad is really into that stuff and has turned her against meat

i'm working on it though lol i've won the war in the car (i'm the driver and i'll play what i want ) just need to work on the house

About 1 hour each day travelling to and from work. However as I am currently signed off sick, this has been reduced to about 2 hours each week!!!I do still have my 'Meat fix' by watching any one of the 10 DVDs I have with him either acting or singing just to keep me sane. (I have given up using my mp3 whilst waiting in various hospital waiting rooms as I once missed my name being called and had to wait even longer than usual!)

It depends on what I am doing. Today AfL was on the radio at work so everyone in the village was treated to myself adn the cute goth from the cafe doing a fabulous rendition of it and that is the only Meaty thing of the day.

Last wedmesday i was doing housework and had his complete back catalogue on repeat from 5am to 10pm.

when I'm not on my computer, im upstairs lip-syncing to meat for about three hours (usually memorizing some obscure stuff off of BBIS)

I have his stuff on my ipod, so I walk to and from school daily listening to him,

So, probably half my day is spent with his vocals

You wanna try singing instead of lip syncing.

It's much more fun

I do sing it.

Lip-syncing helps me keep my voice. then i'll sing a meat song or two in chorus at my HS. thats why i have karaoke cds and my teacher loves playing meat loaf on her piano!

This week I'm doing Special Girl.

Lip syncing does absoloutly NOTHING when it comes to practicing

Although you got to be careful not to overdo it, you DO have to excersize your voice now and again.

Like any other muscle, you need to excersize it to make it stronger

It varies, I have a playlist on my mp3 with about 17/18 tracks from the three bat albums. Somedays i'll listen to all of bat III.

But i'd say overall somewhere between 30-60 mins a day

You've lost me...you lip-synch so you don't use your voice...so apart from learning the words, what exactly is it that you're practising while you're lip-synching!?

And to get back on topic My car doesn't like cold apparently and wouldn't start this morning so I've not listened to any Aday today!
