the new films, especially III are quite cool, but dont feel like real Star Wars movies. The story of 3 is too complex and theres too much fighting and not enough REAL story IMO.
Looks like they thought "yeah, lets put this in, wait Anakin became Vader, that has to be in the movie too, no wait, we have to get in how Luke came on that farm too, wait, what about Lukes sister, we need to put in how she came to Alderaan, and what about Yoda? Write a story about Yoda!" And so on... |

Exactly...they tried to shove it all in into the last movie to tie up all the loose ends...which, in my opinion, was achieved quite sloppily...
And I STILL don't know how Anakin becomes Darth Vader...didn't see any particular reason for that kind of drastic transformation... |

I think itīs because he was afraid to lose, forgot her name, and was ready to do EVERYTHING to save her, even use the dark side of the force.
The whole new movies are about becoming something you dont want to, from noble reasons. All in all, the new films dont even come close to the original ones. Btw, Brining out 3rd part with less good quality, just to make money, though itīs not really a sequel.....that reminds me of something.... |

I cannot comment having never seen a Star Wars film, I have attempted the books several times and fell asleep at the cinema during episode 1 on no fewer than 5 occasions.

Newer ones do have moments where you want to close your eyes and just rest them... Ummm...come to think of it...that's what I've done during the Titanic... Yeah...I confess...I haven't seen MOST of the Titanic...but hey...they gave away the ending in the trailers...so...no big loss... |

My ex-husband was a Star Wars fan, so I've seen Episodes IV, V and VI, but haven't bothered with the first three. In saying that, we have The Phantom Menace kicking around here somewhere, but I haven't bothered watching it... I'm saving it for a prolonged bout of insomnia...

Bizarrely, every time I see Jar Jar Binks, I can only think of Scrabble in his puppy days ... I think it's the ears and general ability to get into some sort of pseudo-comic trouble.

Thats probalbly the most stupid film character ever!
Took much of the thrill out of that movie I got episode 3 lurking around on DVD, but just watched it when I bought it, and not one more time.... Doesnt really speak for the quality of the movie... |
