Yes, it did. Seems to be more rare than the picture disc.

There are three different versions of Bat II on vinyl:

1 the regular (black) version (V 2710)
2 the picture disc (VP 2710)
3 the double vinyl version from Zimbabwe (VIR 129)

The sound quality of the first two versions is atrocious. And if the regular version is hard to find, the 2LP version is nearly impossible to find.

There's a sticker on the cover of the picture disc that says: For those of you who can recall the days of crackly vinyl on tiny stereograms, the sound quality of this record may bring back 'fond' memories!

As far as I know, that one was released in Ireland on white / translucent vinyl as well as on black vinyl but I don't know for sure. Do you have further info on this?

It the single black vinyl Bat II crops up on ebay fairly regularly, not seen the Zimbabwean double disc though, so I can only presume that's rarer than the CHSIB vinyl, which I seen for auction once

It may be woth noting that there doesn't seem to have been a lyric sheet issued with the standard Bat II vinyl edition.
That is to say, i've never seen a lyric sheet with any of the examples i've encoutered.

Perhaps someone can prove me wrong?

It was released on both but the clear vinyl is somewhat harder to find.

You're right. The picture disc came along with a lyrics sheet, the standard record didn't. Black inner sleeve, no printed lyrics, as far as I know.

Yes I have a Bat 2 LP, only listened to it once as I plan to have that and my Bat 3 lp signed and framed to go with my Bat 1 lp.

The one I have is fairly good quality from my memory, think I'll have to listen to it again

Very interesting, I've never heard of that. I've only seen the promo CD which came in a digipak, never seen a promo vinyl. Maybe it was a kind of test before finally deciding whether to release it on black or colored vinyl or as a picture disc?

That rings a bell foer some reason.
If I remember rightly it was on a site that used to be used by many record dealers around the world to advertise their stuff (it was a fecking wicked site, and very much missed).

I can't remember why I didn't have a crack at it.
Either it was a silly price, or it didn't tickle my fancy at that moment in time
